  1. Looks like I bought this just in time.
  2. Once the book is humidified, it'll form to whatever shape is pressing against it. Stay away from the brown teflon sheets they sell on Amazon
  3. What really cracks me up is when people come to the table and say "Hey, I'm looking for XYZ, Do you have it? I'll say, yeah, it's right here" Ok thanks, I'll pass. I wonder if they walk into their local supermarket, ask customer service, hey, I'm looking for a gallon of milk and they say "Yeah it's in the back, Do they say, Ok thanks I'll pass
  4. A lot of people walking around, but not a lot of people doing much buying, a lot of dealers I spoke to are getting a lot of low ball offers. Someone even asked a dealer if they bought 10 $1 dollar books if he could get a discount.
  5. I know it's a joke, but ink is actually cheap, printer's sell it by the pound, it's the paper that's expensive
  6. I'm trying to get a submission together but I can't finish my submission cause the "Add Comic" button is not working anymore, it remains grey and isn't turning orange to add anything, I tried it on mobile and desktop, same thing.
  7. Hi, Iately I've been receiving my submissions back by Fed Ex, when I have requested for them to be returned to me UPS under my own shipping account number, this has happened multiple times, Do I need to paste sticky notes on the paper work with delivery instructions to ship under my UPS account from now on since the shipper seems to not get the memo. With Fed-Ex, The packages are marked as delivery to address only and since I live alone, I miss the driver. What can be done to correct this problem?
  8. Sounds like Hero has money management issues and bite off more than they can chew. If customers paid for work to have done and it wasn't done, then just return their books to them, you can't keep their books & payment for months on end then complain they want a refund, the customers probably feel like they're out their books and money. Having health issues sucks but it doesn't give Hero the right not to keep paying customers in the loop and delivering work in a timely matter.
  9. Just picked this up, I'm excited about it. tough book.
  10. What else is there to see if it's a 5.5?
  11. It's not after production trimmed, it's from a dull blade during production
  12. I'll probably get the 56pt from Comic Pro, I need them for CGC submissions cause the CS reps like to the pull the book from the bottom and flip them over while they verify, super stiff boards should stop the spine ticks from appearing when slabbed. I've been stacking about 3 boards together and am running out
  13. I invest in comics and have a stock portfolio as well as an IRA. I've liquidated a lot of my post 1980 comics outside of ASM. I've been focusing more of 1938-1955 golden age superhero, horror and romance. Silver age marvel mega keys and #1's. Bronze age pre 1975 in 9.4+ and 9.8's of 1976-1979 keys. I'm thinking 20 years out when I'm in retirement. Also have a few pieces of high end OA, Maybe when I'm 65-70 I'll sell everything, buy a house on a lake and stay there and die.
  14. Anyone know where I can find some extra thick comic backing boards? I was at a show the other day and they had some super stiff backing boards on comics but I don't know where to find them, most boards are 24 pts, need something thicker and stiffer than that.
  15. J & S Collectibles from CT. He does Little Giant Show, Baltimore, Terrific Con, Used to do C2E2. Boston Shows
