  1. I've seen grader notes for "Miswrap" I would think this has been factored into the grade by the grader.
  2. They probably say "well this didn't go through CCS and was pressed by a 3rd party "No 9.8 for you!"
  3. You can still see it, it was a pretty sharp crease but it's still there and creases like that won't come all the way out 100%, CGC mentioned in the notes as moderate crease which is now light crease
  4. Nice that you got the right edge of the cover bends out, if it's an overhang, bends like that can be a pain to get out if the paper is being a They have been hammering moderns lately, books that a 9.8s all day long are coming back 9.6 even 9.4 with no grader notes on anything. Either they are giving the book any grade off the top of their heads and avoiding 9.8s cause they wanna be strict or they are trying to upset the customer so they resend the book back and try again.
  5. Its summer, it always slows down around this time, picks up again in the fall
  6. X-Men 4 9.4 FF 48 9.4 ASM 14 9.4 Daredevil 1 9.2 Journey 85 9.0
  7. Just goes to show you what you should be investing in, Marvel 1st issues, 1st appearances of major characters, Scarce golden age and early single digit Spider-Man
  8. CGC has 200 elephant foot pounds pressing their books, that's why they don't revert back
  9. CGC used to price gouge the shipping accounts of people who didn't have Fed-Ex/UPS shipping accounts, charging almost a $100 per 25/30 books which is insane. Now they are charging what they should have 20 years ago. I know my LCS owner said to CGC "People may not mind the increase so much if they got their books back faster" Said CGC didn't respond to that nor did have an answer and he's had books in economy since last August, and now we are in June.
  10. Just got back from my LCS, owner said he was talking to someone who works at CGC and they said if you've got books to submit, to get them in before the 4th cause prices are increasing again. Don't know how true it is but that's what I was told
  11. A car is a liability, Comics, Businesses, Stocks and Real Estate (rentals) and anything else that puts money in your pocket or appreciates over time are assets, if you wanna be rich, buy more assets. Stop buying cars Michael haha
  12. Yes it's normal. Not every book is the perfect and cut to intended size because it's most likely printed using a web press and everything was set up manually back then as they didn't have automatic web presses like they do now. I can already see there is more blue, yellow and black ink on the left copy and more red in the copy on the right. Copy on the left has tighter register than the one on the right.
  13. Just picked up a SI collection from 1975-1996 all in nice shape, is there a GPA for SI to check sold prices?
  14. She is right actually because if something is so rare, it doesn't get traded enough to price it. While rare golden age is great, pricing it is a pain cause sales data is so few and far between and you don't know what the market is willing to pay for it.
