  1. This is getting so expensive now, I had to settle for a 3.0
  2. That is your return shipping to you. You can fill out the form at the show, if it still doesn't work, start barking at the staff
  3. Yea, J&S, Sheldon, Jay and a few others from Plainville were all there. Mainly the local New England dealers were there and a few local comic stores and NY Dealers.
  4. I know the dealer you're referring to, He said his margins are thin cause he paid a lot for them, If you pay a lot for something during a peak, you don't reprice down cause there is a dip, I'm sure he either took trade or went home with it, which most likely happened. He'll just have to hang onto it for awhile. Some people think dealers need to reprice everything to match current auction sales and take the loss for the buyer's benefit which isn't true at all. "last sale was 9K, you have 15k on it, now give it to me for 9K" mentality is just insane on some buyers.
  5. This needs to change. The "other company" makes it a requirement
  6. Dude, it's not trimmed, you're just uneducated about print quality
  7. 400% NOT Trimmed, Dull slitter blade @ Printing plant If it was trimmed after production, all pages and cover would be flushed together, corners would be super sharp, right edge would look "weird"
  8. Grader notes are free however, the graders aren't putting down any notes at all, I've seen 9.0s and below with grader notes "Unavailable"
  9. In the article, people complaining the cover is the same paper stock as the interior pages, this so the book can be printed on one roll of paper without having to insert the insides of the book into a different cover stock. Besides, if people are complaining about the cheap paper, yet they don't complain about the newsprint they used years ago
  10. I'd imagine it's too expensive and not worth the hassle anymore since it's become a glorified pop culture con than anything else.
  11. You have to buy it when you see it, I have a million stories like this.
  12. What's the point of buying coins if you aren't going to spend them? Thats how this thread sounds to me
  13. I submitted 3 slabs to Mike that recently came back 9.6. There's nothing wrong with them.
  14. Looks like a CGC grader's desk pile waiting to fall over then email the customer saying that's how they got them shipped to them.
  15. Its typically coming from the graders who grade moderns. Absolutely perfect books are coming back 9.6 with no grader notes as to why. It's like sending in a lenticular cover fresh of the press and it coming back 9.6. Cause some of the modern graders are being that strict, it need to stop. Keep us posted on the response from the data you collect. I've heard of people touring the facility and seeing stacks of books graded in a pile, that pile is prone to falling over and damaging books, I'm sure it has quite a few times.
  16. Yeah, the 2nd one is Drummy's copy that I traded him towards his Hulk 1, I posted that copy here when I got it. At the end of the day, people are still going to bid on it as a 3.5
  17. I'm sure the printers are doing the best they can with what they have, Pressmen don't wanna send garbage out the door, they in fact wanna print high quality but it's out of their hands when the customer (Marvel) buys trash paper to work with. It leads to web breaks, bad register/color, down time ect...
  18. CGC's answer is to that is to raise the submission prices and TATs
  19. I see something in the N in National on the DC logo in the black, check it out. Get a loupe and a razor knife
