  1. I'm curious how many other industries probably have people making $20 or less an hour routinely handling $100K worth of merchandise on a daily basis.
  2. Selling a ton at once might be a problem, but I doubt many people look up the census to see how many are out there. Plus with current TATs, it's better to do them quickly rather than linger.
  3. That's a new one to me. When you click on the order details in your Paypal, does it show complete? Do you get an email saying it sent?
  4. Marvel does semi-annual to annual dumps of excess ratio variants to retailers. I'd guess this is likely the case. Someone scooped up a chunk of these and submitted them. This is also why numbers are never accurate from places like comichron. I'd be really surprised if any Marvel modern cover has less than 500 printed.
  5. Mostly just depends where things are shipping to that will make it cheaper. If it's within a state or two, priority and parcel are about the same price. Ship across the coast and things get cheaper with Parcel. Parcel is fine. It's basically the equivalent of UPS Ground.
  6. 39 Modern Pre-Screen 11/11/21 - Delivered, SFG 03/27/22 - Grading/QC 04/11/22 - Shipped. Took exactly 5 months for me. Rather annoyed it took 2 weeks to get from grading to shipped, but oh well. Based on the number of rejects, I'm not looking forward to the grades.
  7. Why not just use the CGC boxes? Worst case just get another box and throw the CGC box in that.
  8. 9.4. These are moderns I've submitted before (same comic, different copies) and got 9.8s pretty much across the board.
  9. Well I'm terrified of my books coming back. I just got the bill finally for a Modern Pre-screen from Nov 11th. 10 Pre-screen rejects out of 39. Books were submitted long enough ago that I have specific grades for each book, and I was very generous for the pre-screen grades just so they wouldn't grade anything they damaged. All pressed by Joeypost and hand delivered. They've been stuck in Grading/QC for 12 days now. Hoping they ship by tomorrow finally.
  10. Nova #1 Comicspro Variant is on fire right now. 9.4 copy went for $500 and some raws for up to $350.
  11. That's weird. I wonder if they damaged them and secretly had them pressed.
  12. It's a bit of a crapshoot I think. My 11/11 prescreen books have been sitting at Grading/QC for almost a week now.
  13. I'm sure it's possible, but it's way too easy to fake a sale on Whatnot. I wouldn't personally trust it.
  14. I don't think so. The green label states what is merely written on the book. The yellow label specifically says, "signed by..."
  15. Probably 3000+. That's the current minimum at least.
  16. Seems like lately Modern FT are unofficially taking a month or less.
  17. Yes. If you assume five days of work a week, the current turnaround time for Pressing alone is 13 months. Six days a week is 11 months. That doesn't even include a potential of up to 5 months for grading. Worst case you may not get them until May 2023. I would be more inclined to say early 2023 though.
  18. And my second modern Pre-screen from 11/11 just sent to Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging
  19. 11/11/21 PRESCREEN - MODERN (Slow) Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging 11/11/21 PRESCREEN - MODERN (Slow) Scheduled for Grading Progress on one of two!
  20. Registered Mail don't follow the normal tracking number updates. They frequently go from origin to delivered. Don't worry too much about it. Registered is also one of the slowest ways to ship something, so a week+ is normal.
  21. Less than that. I think mine is about $130 a year, and that's in the middle of LA. Just get the smallest one and pick up the packages from the clerk or the machine if they have it.
