  1. In theory, but if I'm going to pay $750 to grade and press books, I'd like some piece of mind before I gamble on getting 9.4s.
  2. So yeah, this is on UPS's end. They should be refunding CGC who in turn should be refunding you. I still wouldn't give up hope yet. I'm guessing perhaps the truck was in an accident and packages were damaged. That or someone broke into the truck.

  4. Anyone else have a printer defect on the back top left of HR1? Looks like a tiny spot where ink failed to roll? I have 60 copies total over the ABC variants and all have it to some extent. Don't have a picture handy right now, but was pulling out my copies last night and noticed this. Gonna suck if I have 0 9.8s.
  5. If you feel comfortable with it, post the tracking number. It'll help clear things up at least. Or post the full history minus the number if you're not.
  6. I meant the UPS cost to ship from CGC was cheaper than USPS since they aren't insuring, not that the company was cheaper. I'll take UPS any day over Fedex. As someone who used to work as a post office, this is largely BS. Sure every company has bad actors, but I never encountered one person who would steal mail.
  7. I'm not sure why you're mad at CGC. They mailed the book the way you opted for them to send it. You have every right to be frustrated at UPS. The reason it takes a while to get paid out is because CGC has to file a claim with UPS, then get reimbursed, and send it off to you. They won't just give you the money first because if UPS rules against them or finds it, they are out the money. I know it sucks, but that's business.
  8. 2.5 weeks is certainly not encouraging, but it's not unheard of for stuff to get lost. Your last update basically just shows it just delayed. That doesn't mean it's stolen, there could be many things that might have happened. Unfortunately, you are SOL if it gets lost. CGC warns anyone sending with FedEx or UPS their packages aren't fully insured. That's why they're cheaper. You pretty much are stuck with the $100 if it doesn't show up. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
  9. So CGC sent it and it went AWOL before delivery? I think you're pretty much screwed as I don't think they insure UPS. Once it's in the mail, it's pretty much out of CGC's hands. Do you have collectors insurance?
  10. Yeah just have it held at a FedEx location. FedEx is horrible at delivering at my home, so this way I know it will be safe.
  11. My last submission in mid-November, I was able to select individual grades for my pre-screen submission. However, now it looks like that's no longer an option, and you're stuck with one grade for the entire thing. When did that get change? The last price hike?
  12. Looking back at the last two in this thread, there was a Mid-August submission that got graded late Feb. The second was also from Mid-August and just got returned last week. Mine are from 11/12 and still SFG. So I probably have 30-60 days left for mine.
  13. It's possible some of the books got creased on or at the way to CGC. One of my submissions in the past came back with about five books with a crease all in the exact spot.
  14. 1000 copies may definitely take a while to sell, but if you get $50 a pop, it can be pretty worth it.
  15. They almost never do grader notes for 9.6's. Also grader notes are made for graders to share notes between themselves. If the deductions are fairly obvious, there's no reason to notate it.
  16. Some of these I actually wonder if the submitter put the wrong issue in their form and just no one noticed. It would be a lot cheaper to submit this way at least.
  17. I got bored and found a few of the certification numbers. They all got submitted in just a couple back to back submissions, so I just checked each number in the group until I found them all. If they only update when they are shipped, I wonder if half of these were held at CGC for months for pickup? Theres more to this story, but that's coming later in another post down the road.
  18. The January 2022 books are the ones in question. I can see all 34 or so were graded in July 2021. I do not know when they were delivered though.
  19. Radiant Black #1 Foil B Edition Signature Series. (I am aware 5 were also added recently which was an entirely different submission.)
  20. I should clarify that the data only confirmed what I was following. The December weekly's have since rolled off the chart, but I confirmed they appeared between December 20th and Jan 3rd updates when I still had access to them. The books were definitely graded late July, and I was watching the census on and off from July through Jan for updates. (This was a book I preordered from a third party and was waiting to get back.)
  21. I feel like I reported like 20 of these myself. They pop up with new accounts daily, and I also just got tired of it. I'm pretty sure they are banking on a buyer using the outside link to purchase it for cheaper than expecting the Ebay purchases to go through.
  22. So this is a bit of a random question, but a submission had its comics graded in July, but the census didn't update until the end of December. (Based on CGCData.com archives) I was under the impression the data was automatically was updated a week or two after the grading process.
  23. Were these from Joey? Mine were from him delivered the same day but Pre-Screen. I guess I can start the +15-30 day timer.
  24. Mine are 11/12. Hoping somehow they push it through here soon.
