I rarely do this in a SALES THREAD, which is what we're talking about. Gabbing in forum sections like General or the other areas that are designed for CONVERSATION is expected, as no one is trying to create a environment for financial transactions and no one is waiting for new books to be posted. But obviously, the difference eludes you right?

Why don't you just skip ahead to the posts that contain the images of the books? It's not the skipping ahead part that bugs me, it's seeing a bunch of "new messages" in a (supposed) sales thread, then clicking only to find a bunch of nutzos posting graemlins and various insults back and forth. What a waste of time.

Didn't you have an article on your website about the issue where it became clear that Wolverine's claws came from inside his hand and not from inside his glove ? I seem to remember you talking about that being a watershed moment where he took off... Yes, that was a "whoa!" moment in the life of Wolverine. Here's some that I remember being watershed moments, and I posted these before in another Wolvie thread: -

X-Men 133 was obviously first, but they all led to the same outcome, Wolverine Mini #1, which put a semi-popular character way over the top. -

The first time I took notice of Wolverine was in 1977, in Iron Fist 15 - that book was killer and one of the great Wolverine fights to date. That and X-Men 109, with a bit of his past being revealed, was also a nice touch, as were X-Men 120-121 with his return to Canada. But if we're talking about the mass market, then it's later than that. -

The two most important issues in Wolverine's growth in popularity were X-Men 133 and the Wolverine Mini Series. As many of you probably know, Wolverine was an also-ran in the early X-Men run, and the writers were decided which of the duplicate anti-social wild-child characters to kill off in X-Men 95 - Thunderbird or Wolverine. -
Some possible news: GILBERTO TORRES IS FREE! After 6 weeks in the hands of the paramilitaries, GILBERTO TORRES a regional leader of the Colombian oil workers union USO [unión Sindical Obrera] was freed on Sunday. GILBERTO was kidnapped as he left his work on the OCENSA pipeline in Casanare. The OCENSA pipeline transports BP's oil from wells in the eastern Andes to the Caribbean port of Coveñas. The paramilitary group AUC [united Self-Defence of Colombia] kept GILBERTO shackled a hole in the ground covered with barbed wire. They finally handed him over at midday last Sunday to a special commission comprising the International Red Cross, the Presidential Peace Commissioner and the People's Defender. GILBERTO's disappearance had triggered a national strike by USO that originally lasted several days, and was restarted after another USO leader RAFAEL JAIMES was assassinated in Barrancabermeja. USO's stoppage only ended last Saturday when the union heard of GILBERTO's impending release. Union leaders spent last week in negotiations with the top executives of state oil corporation ECOPETROL demanding that management do more to protect the oil workers. Union President Hernando Hernández pledged USO to fight on to defend the human rights of its members. http://www.colombiasolidarity.org.uk/content/view/260/54/

Wow, this looks like a much bigger scam that we had thought, and as you know, the number of verified scammees is always much lower than the actual amount taken. I can remember old Gilberto telling us about his ailing grandfather, his mounting medical bills, his family's financial problems, and with all due respect, I thought: Who in their right mind would deal with this guy? People in that kind of situation, if they are in any way ethically unsound, will always justify stealing the money because of their own hardships, especially if things get worse.

Nah, you just need to keep sending in enough 9.6-9.8 candidates, then the numbers line up.

It's a Bronze Age book of a character that became popular in the 80's and 90's - how old should they be, 70?
-
Yep, this 9.9 and 10.0 stuff is just pure stupidity - maybe, and just maybe, there is a chance that a perfect book would make it to CGC's HQ, but after their staff opens the package, removes the book, and places it in a labeled Mylar, their graders inspect the cover, do a page count, and examine each of the interior pages for stains, tape, rips, etc.,, and then their encapsulation staff places the book in the well, heat-seals it and sets it in the plastic slab, I cannot understand how it could ever be "perfect". Too much handling, too many hands - it's physically impossible.

Has there been an official ruling on maroons posting porn/nudies for sale? http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2856144&fpart=1 -
Sorry to hear that, and I hope 2009 will start out better than 2008 ended. (thumbs u
