  1. Yes. The more results and data, the better. As long as it's not "select" data, like only the higher-dollar GPA-breaking sales, and you can include 100% of the entire auction's data, then sure. If CL does any kind of data parsing or auction hiding, then skip the entire thing.
  2. I would hardly state $229 for a CGC 9.9 as that valuable.
  3. Somehow I doubt that's part of their current "we accept sales data on an automated basis from dealers who have an online venue they sell through" business model. I bet they could find an old typewriter to do it on.
  4. And here's an old comment from George when someone accused GPA of only covering EBay and Heritage: "Wrong again, we report from many more venues, including Metropolis, ComicConnect, Vintage Collectables, Colmore, Quality Comix, SAL Comics, Investment Collectibles, Esquire Comics, Mile High, Vault, Mastro, Hakes, All Stars, and more."
  5. What are you people talking about? There is no personal information being shared, it's just a matter of supplying the needed sales data, price and CGC cert # to GPA. That's it. Josh apparently wanted to submit only "record-breaking" data to GPA, which is useless, since a true market report requires ALL dales data. I believe (though I could be wrong) that George needs buyer info as well. You'd be wrong then, as I am certain that EBay does not supply personal buyer info, and I would bet that Heritage doesn't either. Legally, they can't. Basically it really comes down to how well your online venue is setup, and how much work it would take to create a data feed to GPA. I have a feeling that CL is pretty archaic and it's just not worth it to Josh to get all data over there.

  7. To try and end the conspiracy theories, here's what George posted to confirm his earlier comments. Straight from Josh: "George, To backtrack to the point you came in on - a board member asked why ComicLink doesn't report to GPA. In response, I said I offered to report select ComicLink sales data, not all data, and that it wasn't accepted. That is where it stands and I am ok with it. "
  8. EBay probably allows GPA to mine data though, something that CL doesn't. If I remember correctly, and I usually do, the issue was that Josh only wanted to forward "record-breaking sales" to GPA, likely as a form of advertising, but had no interest in allowing ALL ComicLink transactions to be used in GPA. I believe George has covered this multiple times.
  9. I've found a few of those before - did anyone else catch it?
  10. - Man, this place is too freaking much. Why not send me a pile of books for free too?
  11. Not an epidemic, but there are quite a few, and the major issues with scams always revolve around newbies, as long-terms members have a rep to protect. And don't be fooled by the lack of posts highlighting these problems, as most people are too embarrassed about being taken in by a low-post scammer to ever outline it in public.
  12. Hardly, and it's nice to know that you advocate totalitarian policies of inequality and different rules for different people, but I'd like to know one question: When exactly are you moving back to Cuba?
  13. Where's all the shock and finger-wagging when he posts an insult-laden rant to me, complete with an "Internet Tough Guy" threat at the end?
  14. You gotta love Spidey-on-crack's latest gem: "Again Joe stop trolling my threads, and if you didnt get my hint I wouldn't sell you any of my books to you anyway. Your money is no good." Oh man, this guy's hilarious. The only way I'd send this chump any money is if it was laced with Anthrax.
  15. Ooooh, now we've progressed to PHYSICAL THREATS. Uh oh.
  16. Dude, you have wasted my time with all your private PM questions from my sales thread with ZERO Sales from your cheap . I hyped it on my sales thread and 5 people PMed me with wanting them ASAP, and I took one offer. Whose time am I wasting Joe, were you sitting there all day choking your chicken waiting for my books , you loser. The only person that shoould ever be on probation is you for being the biggest on these boards. You have no life and you are trolling me now, so if you wan to keep that up I can assure you your time on these boards will be over. This isnt even close to being a probation issue, Joe aka tool shop. . Now if I wrote something like that, I'd be getting a strike guaranteed, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

  18. I nominate spiderman-on-tilt for massively hyping his BIG BRONZE AGE CAPTAIN AMERICA SALE, then telling us they'd all been sold via PM. That's pretty freaking low, and a huge waste of time.
  19. Hey, the forum thinktank asked us to cease and desist policing the Marketplace, so we're just giving them what they want. Once true anarchy sets in, it should be a fun show.
  20. Yeah, the nerds love that stuff. And I'm not complaining about the porn comics or the dateless losers who buy it, just making an observation.
  21. Lotsa smut on the boards lately - the pervs must be breaking out the lotion and klennex.
