  1. Maybe I should have started a new thread; this is a formerly closed thread re-opened with a completely different lot offered. But I did not want to have both a closed thread and a new thread on the first page, so I re-purposed to avoid clogging up the front page real estate.
  2. This one was pretty direct ... Walked into an LCS with some low-grade silver keys and a handful of cash. No interesting hunt this time! (But I am working on a couple of them
  3. Impulse buy today, just because I feel like I haven't come across one in forever. Ignored it for the longest time over the years.
  4. I walked in planning on the Young Allies; the Brother Power was an impulse buy while I was there.
  5. So...we're gonna crowdfund his AC1 by carving up his doubles (Maybe the subconscious influence thingie will work...)
  6. I was wondering where that went too! Thought I was losing it.
  7. Okay, so what exactly is offered? This is a lot of 11 issues of Usagi Yojimbo from Fantagraphics (1st series) all second printings. Included are Usagi Yojimbo Summer Special #1 and Usagi Yojimbo #'s 1, 2,4,5,6,11,15,19,21,22. Grades vary but are clustered around Fine+/VF range, with a couple outliers either way. The #1 and Summer Special are on the nicer side (pictured separately below) and the #2 is about the worst, appearing to have been used as a coaster at some point. Other than a smidge of splitting atop the #6 and #19, everything else is clean and bright, with the occasional color breaks. If you need more/different pix besides the below, just ask. Thanks again for checking this out! The pile, packaged, will likely break the one-pound mark, so $30 shipped U.S.
  8. One lot, 11 books, all Fantagraphics 2nd printings. First in the thread wins, time stamp rules. Payment is money order or check only. Sorry but I do not have Paypal. Lot is offered shipped U.S. Only. Returns -- Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt, and get it back to me in the same condition you received it, on your dime. Unless I have missed something. I've got a kudos thread somewhere and I do a horrible job of asking people to chime in, but I have not had a complaint from anyone who has received books from me, and I have had thanks and repeat buyers, fwiw.
  9. Here we are, one dozen DC Whitman variants (sorry, no June 1980 books) but elusive Whitman variants nonetheless. 11 of them are in the F/VF range, mostly from 7.0-8.5, I would say. The Batman, which is basically a throw-in, is Poor due to the cut-out from the front cover (Batman missing). I have provided a group shot and a couple examples, from both ends of the range of condition. If you would like to see more/different, just ask. Lot includes: JLA #'s 158, 160, 161, 162, 171; Superman #'s 327, 340; Action #491; Green Lantern #121; two copies of DC Comics Presents #2; and the damaged Batman #306. $50 shipped U.S.
  10. Thanks for looking! Posting one lot only in this thread. First, First in the thread wins, time stamp rules. Payment is money order or check only. Sorry but I do not have Paypal. 11. This is sadly spot-on. It may well be that Disney should shelve Marvel print for some time; that may or may not lead down the road to viable reinvention. Yes, I understood what you wrote; further change down the road may lead to a viable reinvention is all I'm saying. Or not. But if print publishing, comics or otherwise, has a prayer at reinvention down the road, the vision will likely come from the mind of someone who has not grown up in the incarnation of the industry that we have known for years. Cheer up, all, it could be worse. The crew at Rolling Stone could be in charge.
  12. Unreal! I guess I gotta get out more.... Please tell me you cannot produce a Big Ethel version of a DC heroine!
  13. I gotta wonder now....Cheryl as Poison Ivy or Batgirl???
  14. Needs Betty as Black Canary or Power Girl! Love the Veronica as WW motif
  15. Not at all, and thanks Crimebuster for covering me! I've been tied up. So my gap is She's Josie #1, the first issue of Josie's ongoing series. (Becomes Josie and the Pussycats with #45, pictured in the group shot.)
  16. How about a Silver Archie keys group shot?
  17. Yes, ho hum....the REAL question I am asking myself thanks to this thread is...Red Sonja or Shanna???
