  1. Quite right. A few variant indicias out there too. And inserts. Or lack of.
  2. Very nice. And the correct spelling of favourites too!
  3. Thank you. I didn't mean to be cruel. I just struggle with your logic sometimes and you never seem to stay on topic. If I ask you a perfectly reasonable question based on your previous posts assertions and, rather than answer it, you just fire back random questions on a different theme - which don't entirely make sense in their own right by the way - then that's not fun for me. It might be for you, but for me it's just irritating. By creating this thread, I think that your were trying to express your feelings regarding the fact that prices for graded books at the top end often realise huge price differences, and that this must place a pressure on CGC graders who will likely know the difference one or two points can make on certain books. That might be a good talking point. To suggest CGC should therefore control the pricing is ludicrous however, as they don't own the product in the first place. It's nothing to do with them what it sells for. Most every time someone asks you a reasonable question to get to the heart of what you are trying to say, you deflect and get defensive. If you keep this up, I and others will likely stop talking with you in future. But if you make your mind up what you are trying to say and then respond directly to the questions people subsequently ask you, you may find you get a whole lot more out of your membership here.
  4. OK, I'm with the guy who posted the nutter gif. Night Hollywood.
  5. I own a comic. I send it in to CGC, they grade it for a fee, and send it back to me. It's my possession. Give me one practical way that CGC could exercise any influence over what I could then sell it for one, two or twenty two years after the grading event?
  6. Forgive me Hollywood, but that's nonsense. Unless I'm misunderstanding you somehow, that's just nonsense. Why would you say such a nonsensical thing?
  7. What? That wasn't your question? What are you trying to say here HW? Think before you type.
  8. How would they do that? People will pay what people will pay. It's nothing to do with CGC what prices books go for on the open market?
  9. Odd choice for a CVA sticker given that the book is on the cusp of losing the first letters of the MCG wording in the price box to the spine.
  10. Cor, that's a goodun Gary. I do like a dual priced Alan with extra cover art. And both prices in pence! The Gods of comics are smiling on it - make them happy and change that avatar!
  11. And this is why you will always be considered a man of rare and fine taste Jim. Well, about my stuff anyway. Andy's ramblings? Load of old carp.
  12. I don't think we'll ever see them Bell. An incorrect set of dates for these books has remained in place, unchallenged for years. I've challenged it, stated what I believe to be the correct dates, and anyone who's anyone now agrees with it. There's a few more that may turn up within the dates, but there won't be anymore outside them. He says.....
  13. Let's ask them shall we. Well, one of them. @Ken Aldred Ken. As our chief representative of the UK market, what do you think of those weirdy cents and dollar symbols on your comics?
  14. I would have watched it Andy but it clashed with "Steve talks to himself about comics" on the other side. P.S. Long live the rurals.
  15. Morning I added an image of X-Factor #124 to the files this morning, along with a host of image upgrades across a number of titles: The second wave dates are now full for that title and the only first wave book missing is #98: X-Factor number 98 would be cover dated AUS April 1994 however, and we know that only 3 titles have been found to have AUS copies for that month. I've seen about ten copies on eBay Australia, and all have been Direct Editions (one, if I recall correctly, was in amongst AUS copies which paints a picture). So X-Factor may now be complete and only time will tell if 49 or 50 is the most AUS copies we'll ever find. Of the 99 confirmed titles found with AUS copies so far, 48 cross the AUS April 1994 date. Maybe (AUS) March 1994 was supposed to be the official hiatus date, and the three titles with April copies snuck in under the radar somehow?
  16. That was an enjoyable read. Nothing better than oceans of comics is there. Thanks for taking the time to report @1Cool
  17. Is that him on the cover of your signature line's Detective 17?
  18. Spot on. To be clear, I don't include her in any of my critical posts on the subject. She conducts herself with a rare warmth and professionalism which I suspect is why no one has a bad word to say about her.
