  1. BUTTOCKS ACHE, HENCE SARDINE OIL
  2. Perfect. Exactly what I should have done. The only saving grace for me was that the keys continued to go up in value so even though I paid more than I needed to, I'd make a nice profit today if I decided to sell. Swings and roundabouts.
  3. Why were you looking at hot dogs? Because the girls were holding them
  4. I felt really bad for Stegron. The stories were simple but they resonated. I wonder sometimes if modern comics are roo sophisticated for 8 year old brains. I could be wrong, kids seem to be adults at 5 nowadays, but I can't see them looking back on, say, the Superior Spider-Man when they're my age and thinking of it with affection.
  5. I don't think we got an X-Men cartoon over here @ADAMANTIUM . I recall the Fantastic Four one, but the only thing I liked about that was the theme. Give me Dimentia 5 any day ?
  6. Brilliant wasn't it. A bit like the early comics. Crude, but full of charm.
  7. Once I'd finished my raw ASM runs I thought I'd go for a CGC run of 9.4 White Pages for issues 100 to 200. It was a way of continuing collecting ASM I suppose, but my heart wasn't fully in it as I'm not actually a big slab fan. 101, 121, 122 and 129 were quite pricey then so I decided to go for quantity first and picked off the cheapies thinking I'd pick off the big guns as and when bargains appeared. They didn't of course, and prices increased hugely in a short period. So I made the wrong choice on reflection from a price point of view. My 129 ended up costing me £700, almost double what I could have got it for had I purchased it first. So my advice, based on my own experience would be to get the pricey keys first, on the basis that they may increase in cost far quicker than the non keys which in theory will always be freely available.
  8. The Ross Andru run of Spidey, reprinted in 'Spider-Man Comics Weekly'. Their charm still charms me to this day. That and the reruns of the cartoon.
  9. OK, I'll give it a go later. I messed about with a journal and it didn't quite work out how I wanted it to. So I'll stick them here instead
  10. Thanks David. There's a lot more to post when I get time. Some of the promos were really hard to get. I paid some staggering sums to get them back in the day. Happily, others paid staggering sums when I sold them! I used to like the promos that had multiple printings. The differences were very subtle sometimes so collecting them from the UK via eBay was shall we say very difficult! Sellers rarely like to check indicia's I found... ?
  11. I think so yes. I can recall an ad for them - a one in 1,000 that you had to mail away for. I can't remember where I picked my copy up from or indeed whether it was legit. Long gone now though ?
  12. Except that would be SFFU Careful Ryan. VC can get very ornery when riled. And speaking of ornery..........
