  1. Once upon a time posted the words "Jim Starlin Hates CGC" on the And then it all went And everybody of boredom.
  2. Not at all @revat, glad of the interest! Amazing Spider-Man appeared with single AUS prices between Nov 1990 and Nov 1996 - Darkhawk 1-50 exists between those dates so it's a possibility. There used to be a great Australian Comic Shop website that had an Australian Printings Section and that had loads of titles as I recall. Alas, I can't find the site now - it must have gone out of business or something - so there are very few sources of info on these. It's why I posted the ASM details, to help others in the hunt. A quick check of Ebay Australia shows no copies of Darkhawk with single AUS prices available or sold (you need to look for newsstand copies). That doesn't mean they don't exist, but it doesn't look hopeful. Maybe the title was not considered big enough to warrant printing / shipping over? Good luck if you decide to keep digging - let us know if it turns anything up If Avengers West Coast got printed, could there be hope for Darkhawk?
  3. I agree. Once you have collected the US editions, going after the Pence, Canadian and Australian first prints are a great way to continue the hobby. They are all 'true' first printings from the US and, in the case of the Australian editions, can match the 35 cent variants for scarcity.

  5. I suppose Ultimate Spider-Man variants are off limits here @bababooey ?
  6. I thought it was about comics getting on the wagon. I thought it was about comics forgetting their lines on stage.
  7. I thought it was about comics pulling their weight in the kitchen.
  8. Next stop, The Amazing Fantasy 15 Club ?
  9. Ha! Nice gif @bababooey! You're very good at those (loved the Eddie Murphy one). To clarify, I meant just my posts within it. I'll try to be more clear in future!
  10. Good points @Tony D. Sometimes it's easy to forget the pre-internet days. I think I mentioned in another thread that I couldn't get an ASM 179 for the longest time in the days of mail order catalogues (I'm in Englandville). Sounds silly now doesn't it. I ended up with about 10 copies in the end. Now, type it in to ebay and I could buy 100 copies in an hour. That said, try typing Gunsmoke Western into ebay UK and see what you get. Some of the old titles, like the pre-code Ditkos as you said, are super scarce indeed.
  11. 600's.... 3 blokes to avoid in the pub... ...and 3 to call if you fail. Colour telly, black & white telly... Ditto... Ditto... Ditto... Hard to beat these 5... Then again...
