    I absolutely LOVE Godwin's comic work and have been searching for a missing cover copy of 17 just so that I can scan the WW story. Your copy looks beautiful. And I never see #3 in such nice shape. WOW.

    ThE Hard WoRK is AlreadY DoNe!! Actually, the fraud buy-back would make it even easier to make $$$ because a scrupulous collector wouldn't be analyzing the contents of the slab and asking for a refund when the book is nowhere close to 9.8.

    I don't see after-production trimming. Everything looks as it should. It's pretty ugly on those outside edges, but the interiors look pretty nice. If it still has good structure, it may achieve a 2.5. That top staple looks like it's ready to pop. Handle carefully.

    Comicwiz put some of the key points into his journal "Who Watches the Watchmen". Interesting that they allegedly engaged in DUPLICATE labels of legitimate books. Now I have to go back to my spreadsheets and check if I've bought anything from these people.

    I don't know whether it sold or not. My recollection was that the ask was $3k. Could be that buyers of stickered barcode books just removed the stickers.

    Something is wrong with that holder if it's sealed all the way around. It may have been super-glued along all edges. Are you sure you're not dealing with a swap? If you don't need it as evidence, I'd go with Timmay's advice and smash the top post corners with a hammer.
