  1. I just received my PBA Galleries: The DC Universe Collection pt 2 catalog. This line-up is what I've been waiting to see, and the fact that they made this catalog more of a book rather than a catalog is absolutely marvelous! Discussions of individual books, and notes of contents... VERY nicely done. I may need to order the hardcover. So... I STILL have a beef with CGC. Here's a break-down of the CGC Labels: More Fun #45 has no cover credit for Flanagan, More Fun #48 states the cover is by Flessel, Adventure #36 states the cover is by Flessel, Adventure #37 correctly denotes Flanagan's cover, Adventure #38 states the cover is Flessel's, and Adventure #39 correctly indicates Flanagan's work. 2 out of 6 is not good. Not even the Double Action #2 has a Flanagan notation. PBA notes correctly the cover artist despite CGC's inaccuracy. Go buy the PBA catalog - you will not be disappointed.
  2. I really love your Adventures in Romance layout - four page across. Looks terrific onscreen. Thank you!
  3. If the price is right, and the art/story looks like something you want to read... give it a shot. I feel that there is an impression of "rarity" sometimes with these as certain online outlets (feebay... cough cough) try to prevent their sales. On the flip side, there are many that were produced in copy shops and the print runs only number in the hundreds. Lately I've been feeling that undergrounds are the best thing to preserve freedom of speech, and I've been trying to buy directly from active artists to support this.
  4. Nevermind. Not "file copy", rather "Curator": ...and a Pacific Coast too, I guess.
  5. The Flash books did not come with any certificates. The only ID is on the case, and I can't see any other way to they'd be able to ID them (except provenance). Do file copies count as "pedigree"?
  6. "Flash can't resist fighting his way into Ming's trap!" Fine, fine, but did you have to bring Dale and Zarkov along with you? Seems like an unnecessary danger...
  7. "...ran to a doughnut shop next door and called police." This article must be a spoof.
  8. Just a note of "thanks" for this journal. Re-read just now, and quite enjoyable too!
  9. Are you able to shine a bright light through the front cover and perhaps see the printed price behind the sticker? Maybe there's a price variant lurking under there?
  10. Do you have a favorite Boyette cover? Any notable interior stories in these? I don't have all the Charltons....
  11. They have no authority here! I wanna see ALL Flash Gordon items!!!
  12. Oh... how many times I've bought up big lots of stuff due to a tiny corner of something or other popping out from the back... I guess that's the sign of a true collector. You're willing to go through the trash to find what you seek!
  13. Nice illustration happening here. I think I recognize them... Not Bulleteer.
  14. I been waitin' for dis for a long time! Well, if dat's da way y'want it...
  15. My Only Love 3 is NOT about the cover....
  16. Van Cleef, Jackman, and who's the lady? Do you think Hex would stick the cigarette through his "flesh hole" to smoke?
  17. I think the primary consideration would be the size of the sheet on the printing press. You need to have trim margins too.
  18. You'd think after he scorned her once, she'd just walk away! Sucker for punishment.
  19. Is that a little printer ink on the bottom open "price" panel, or just a stray pen mark? Maybe that's some artifact of the price variant we've been searching for.
