This is far more of problem than in the past. One of the many reason last Nov I suspended all my CGC submission until they improve - if they improve. I still have 5 submissions in motion and it keeps me up at night thinking how many of my books CGC will damage.

I work for a Fortune 25 Financial Sector Corporation, it is the way everyone of (perceived) importance talks - the higher up the person the more the speak like that gets. For better or usually worse given the 100's of Billions of Dollars per Quarter that flow through firms like my employer's, talk like that is as real as real life gets. To some extent what occurs with and within those giant firms has the ability to affect nearly every American who lives "on the grid". Perhaps @Troy Division also works for a Multi-Billion Dollar International Corporation, if so it is likley how they speak there as well. Oh and yeah I don't like that type of speak all that much, but when you are in the deep end of the pool you must know how to swim. If not then no further 1970's OA Avengers covers will be on my horizon

I do not follow the logic of how it's a valid a data point. Bidder (the only bidder) appears to have been purposely person eff-ing around or perhaps carrying out some vendetta? Does anyone else consider this known and admitted Non Consummated sale valid data? Will that be the next thing in the hobby; base sales data on items that never actually sold? P.S. I've never understood that segment of the hobby that spends nearly same or the same for raw rather than for graded. Solar 3 in CGC 9.8w goes for $155-$185, in 9.6w goes for $100-$120. So $80-$95 for a raw copy seems highly unwise, but again as mentioned I just don't get that part of the hobby.

Slabs are protected from normal handling and look nice in E Gerber 914M2. 2 mil Mylar offers significantly greater UV protection than CGC's slabs For light scratches and scuffs; a bit of muscle and PlastX - don't use the sandpaper pads though

Venom could fight Spider-Man in an MCU (not Sony) Avengers film with Thor's hammer in Hand and the growing supply will still meet demand. In order to build on 2021 level it might take that type of situation for it to re-gain its previously approaching 10k glory. It won't take much of a decrease in demand for price to drop another 1-2K. There are many better Comics and Comic art to spend 5-6k on for future growth percentage than ASM300. Of course even at 3-4K for 9.8 the book represents quite a gain for any who purchased it before COVID then the 2021 Film hype. Say what u will but personally I'm glad i no longer hear every 2nd person new to hobby exclaim they plan on collecting 70s Marvel Superhero covers. Most of them are priced out of the hobby on those.Of course so too am I Glad to have what i do have

As MCU goes lame compared to Thanos. Even annihulation wave will seen to gen pop as derivitve of blip. big personality villian like what appears they are doing w- kang seems better way to go

You do have good reason to be upset. Horror stories and personal experience (luckily only on a $150 item 15 years back from France) are the reason I NEVER buy or sell outside of USA. Only exception being Canadian seller I have established "relationships" with. Agreed to ruin a previous reputation over a 5K + some other sales on the surface make no sense. But desperate times might have dictated it and Enrico like many realize they can so very easily get away with it.

While I'm not the Author, my opinion is that any book published after direct sale books were differentiated should be eligible for this thread. Marvel starting June 1979, DC starting October 1980. Anyhow that's my .02 Classic Big John/Chan Cover

Huge fan of Sal's 1978-1979 work when he was inked by old pro's like Esposito, Stone and Abel.

Seems like typical collector dopamine high and subsequent afterglow. It's great page from a run for which most panel pages with the Hulk on them were absorbed into collections a decade or more ago, the exuberance is understandable.

Appears Sal was excellent at meeting deadlines. You left out his many issues of Captain America and Marvel Team-Up in that time range. Cap from 1975-1985 = 181, 185, 188, 218–223, 225–237, 284–285 MTU from 1975-1985 = 32–46, 48–52, 56–58, 82–85, 88, 130, 132–133 His work on Hulk and Cap are very memorable, with his Hulk being my personal favorite.

I have 3 that were not labelled correctly from 2019 even though I filled out the submission form correctly. Based on my experience the past few years and especially since 2020 Q/C at CGC is non-existent so I simply will not take the chance. To me the risk of them coming back to be damaged and with lower grade is not worth the "reward'. I got these for $40 each at the first day of the 2019 NYCC, the next day I submitted them in person at Modern Economy level. Had them all back a month later. Hard to believe the "good ol' days" was a mere 2.5 years ago.

How about heroes doing around the house work? Or some other regular life task. How much for a page of the Hulk at a supermarket?

These are probably bronze-ish, still they are all newsstands after directs were a thing. On all except Rom 1 I did not seek out newsstands as it's really not my thing, but I have them nonetheless. On the Moon Knight 1 I did purposely look for a copy with top/bottom centering that matched my childhood copy. More Marlene is always nice! h
