  1. Just getting ready to post the 1st page. Any questions/request for additional pics, please contact me at: dtb83@hotmail.com
  2. ASM 300 blue with white pages now climbing back to $1.7K…
  3. I didn’t want to mention it before, but per Gene, definitely this: “As for why everyone isn't here, to be brutally frank, I've heard it said by many people: a lot of people just don't like the personalities here. Whether people agree or not, there's a perception out there that this Forum is dominated by keyboard warriors who will attack you and try to tear you down”
  4. I dunno about that. I mean, many of the sales you’ve listed happened 5-10 years ago and surely they would benefit from the price escalation of the past 18 months. As for the other items on Chuck’s list, I agree some are most likely not $1M covers. On the other hand, in today’s crazy market, we are consistently surprised by the high hammer prices at every HA auction so you never really know. Finally, I would add the ASM 299 last page splash (1st Venom) to the list of $1M OA
  5. I forgot about New Teen Titans #1. Anyone think this cover has a shot at cracking $1M? And what about ASM 238, 1st Hobgoblin?
  6. Great list, Chuck. I think a few are definitely questionable choices, and it’s interesting to note how few DC books made your list. Then again, I was trying to think of a few more Copper DC covers to level the playing field, and couldn’t come up with any.
  7. Grape, just a slight correction to that statement you made in bold, red font (mine)...on a piece such as this, the answer is whatever the seller is willing to take to part with it. There would have to be a guaranteed minimum price agreement in effect in order for a piece of this caliber to be listed now.
  8. Just a brief update for tomorrow's fund-raiser...I'll be adding a Keown She-Hulk cover to the mix. Hate to part with it, especially because it has a loveable fowl-mouthed co-star
  9. Depends on the situation...If you don't pay because you later identified and confirmed the HA description is incorrect, then HA will not bar you from selling/bidding in future auctions if you haven't paid.
  10. I believe he signed over 14K books during last year's signature event and I've seen many sloppy sigs arise from there. I doubt any of the sigs will look the same way he signed on the label.
  11. This auction continues to impress, with so many more recent additions: Tim Sale Daredevil Yellow #2 cover and complete? interiors Watterson Calvin & Hobbes Sunday strip! I'm very curious to see how this stacks up against an A-level Peanuts Sunday Romita Sr Thor 170 cover A half-dozen Sim Cerebus covers Byrne/Sienk, etc FF Roast #1 Double page spread...great artwork by some of the best artists of the Bronze/Copper Age Biz Lobo's Back #1 cover McFarlane Amazing Heroes 179 cover. Davis Excalibur #5 cover Glenn Fabry Preacher covers...never thought I'd see one publicly for sale, let alone two! James Jean Fables covers Miller Ronin page Cardy Flash covers And even more Jim Davis Garfield strips! Get yours now before Heritage runs out (in 5 years)
  12. Sorry, I meant to say locally, at conventions. But you’re right… there are several raw copies available on eBay, but very few noted as 9.4 or better
  13. I believe so. I guess we’ll find out in late Nov, after the deadline for the McSigning has passed. whike we’re on the topic of McFarlane, has anyone else noticed how difficult it’s become to find the Spawn/Batman one-shot from the mid-90’s? The print run must have been huge so why is there so copies in the wild?
  14. I was at a local show today and the slabbed 9.4’s and 9.6’s were on several dealers’ walls…priced aggressively. Likewise for the other key McBooks: Batman 423, Spawn 1, Hulk 340, ASM 317, and even adjectiveless Spiderman #1…and they were selling!
