  1. Many books were due big adjustments from 2016.
  2. Showing my age here, but my favorite one ever is the Tarzan cover on #5.
  3. I know that some copies are available a few days prior to publication. Anybody got it already? If so, anything noteworthy? Thx.
  4. Published Wednesday, but usually there are advance copies available to some. Anybody already seen it? Any interesting moves on books? Thx.
  5. If tripling in the past three years is "flatlining", yeah.
  6. Have to think the AS 8 would go well over $1 million now.
  7. An AF 15 has actually sold for over $1 million.
  8. I've never sold any books, insufficiently_thoughtful_person.
  9. If it really predates GS X-Men #1? Is it because most collectors just aren't aware of that? And if they aren't, why is that the case? Looks like a good investment opportunity IMO. Several nice copies currently available on Ebay for a few hundred each.
  10. Yes! Had it for many years. Only missing TN #4, not counting the TN Laugh issues, which I don't collect . Great title.
  11. The guide is comical re. most issues of Super-Mystery. 10x guide is a bargain on some issues. V3#4 is really the one I'm thinking about here. That cover is insane.
  12. I agree to an extent, BUT I think the success of the Marvel movies, and to a lesser degree the DC movies and CW network DC series has brought SOME higher end money into the hobby. Some of it is coming from Europe and Asia, where these movie and TV properties are also very popular.
  13. And more money coming into it every day. And AF 15 is still a can't lose investment IMO.
  14. It's raw, about a 4.0 I'd guess. Like I said, I've had it forever. I bought it with about 100 other silver age Archies from a now-defunct dealer in WA about 25 years ago.
  15. And it sells for a king's ransom, when you can find one available. Try finding an unrestored copy for less than about 30k now. Bet you never will. I bought my 52 raw from Metro in 2007. I've since had it graded and slabbed, it's a 4.5 conserved. Damn glad I bought it when I did.
  16. I've had this book for decades. What's its significance??
  17. Disagree. No Centaur can be bought at guide in any condition, period. A price guide should be accurate, period. Overstreet ain't, period.
  18. They appreciated like wildfire, and haven't slowed since. Neither book has ever depreciated, since the hobby was born. Never. But the past couple of years have been off-the-charts crazy. If any complete copy of either book can be had for less than 200k now, I'd be shocked. Raw, slabbed, restored, trimmed, whatever.
  19. That's a lot of folks sitting on a lot of money, if accurate.
  20. That's what I was getting at, and I think the Biro cover Zips I mentioned are good candidates. Not that many of them left to boot. Lower grade raw copies are pushing $1000 now.
  21. I think the bondage/torture covers from Zip and Pep are just now starting to really take off. Zip especially. Pep has already pretty much exploded, the whole run up to #50.
