  1. Tec 27 is up tonight. It will be interesting to compare the hammer price to the 393k for the Action 1. The Action is a far superior copy, conserved rather than restored. If the Tec approaches it at the hammer, within the same auction, what does that say about the market for the two books? I've been saying for a while now that the books are probably equals.
  2. I nabbed the Captain Battle, Great Comics- Zarro, and Shock Gibson buttons. Really thought that Shock Gibson button would cost much more.
  3. No Action on the Action 1 yet. Sitting at 287k.
  4. Guesses on the hammer price of the Action 1?
  5. Berk has some stuff I may never see again. Gotta bid on it.
  6. I'm now predicting that Berk's copy will close at 40k+. Craziness, but that's the world we live in now. The top keys are out of reach for all but a relative few collectors.
  7. Laugh, but if you ever own one (doubt you can afford one) you'll be glad I was correct. I have two copies.
  8. It will never decrease in value. In any condition. Ever.
  9. Think any copy of AF #15, in any grade, will cost you less in a few years than it'll cost you now? LAUGH.
  10. So the book is probably going to sell for about twice what I'd have thought possible. That book in your link wasn't trimmed, huge difference there.
  11. Berk's Cap 1 is over 20k already, still over a week to go. With all 3 sides trimmed. LORDY.
  12. I have a 5.0 M(A) that I bought 6 years ago for $7800. Glad I bought it back then.
  13. No "popularity" argument to make there. The Marvel cinematic universe has destroyed that argument. Also, Cap 1 appears to be no more plentiful than Supes 1.
  14. Because the Sandman character doesn't persist or resonate today. If some incarnation of the character joined the CW or DC cinematic universe, the book would appreciate immediately.
  15. Again, I think Cap 1 could surpass Bat 1 eventually. I could even see it passing Supes 1 and ending up the #3 book in the hobby at some point.
  16. Berk Cap 1 7.0 B-3 with all three sides trimmed already over 17k, twelve days from the hammer. Lord. Would not shock me to see it go for 30k plus. The insanity continues.
  17. Correct, but check back in ten years. It might happen eventually, for a number of reasons.
  18. Buy early Amazing Spider-Man, or the original Incredible Hulk series. Period.
  19. There's a 6.5 EP on Ebay, BIN for 49,995. Bet he'd take less. What would a 2.0 to 3.0 restored book go for now?
  20. Batman 1- What's the buy-in point now? For a complete copy, say lower grade with extensive restoration? High 20s? Can one still be had for less than 30k?
