  1. One that's taken off from nowhere in just that past two years is Scoop 2, solely because of the cover. Similar to Hit 5 but better IMO.
  2. I'd guess they're pretty close, but that there are definitely more Action 1s.
  3. I just can't believe there'd be over 100 unknown copies of these books left in the world.
  4. Discussed but been a while: Existing #s of mega keys Looking at the CGC census, 67 and 65 copies for Action 1, Tec 27. How many other copies might be out there? Maybe 100 for each? That would be my guess. Can't imagine more people than that are just holding raw copies in long term collections. Any complete copy of either book will sell for over 200k now. That kind of money is too much for most to resist. I've read estimates of 200 plus total copies for each book, but I doubt that's accurate.
  5. GA books still flying under the radar Are there any, really? By that mean something that five or ten years hence might make people think "If only....". Sure, most everything will appreciate to some extent. Any ideas on books that might be candidates to do what, say Punch 12 has done (explode) in recent years? That's just the first example that came to mind.
  6. My "One that got away": That original Fantom of the Fair etching. Probably ain't gonna see that again.
  7. I won 10, and really went hard after about 10 other items. Focused on stuff that is rarely or never (before) available.
  8. What happened to the more common books in Berk's collection? The auction included about 3000 items, but the whole collection was about 20,000 items?
  9. What all does he have? Serious question. I know he's a board legend. Aren't all of his books raw?
  10. In other words, insisting that their "price guide" be completely inaccurate on certain books.
  11. Who's that? See her mentioned in some OLD threads, pre-2005?
  12. What's ridiculous is that some books, i.e. Centaurs, sell for (x)DOZENS guide and that fact is just ignored by Overstreet. Seems like they're just being stubborn or denying reality. Another good example of such is their prices on pre-Robin 'Tecs and early Actions. Idiotic.
  13. Aren't there a couple of DC completists with complete collections? I know that (one) Ian Levine's DC collection has been reported as complete. I don't know if he collects non-DC as well.
  14. Wasn't this collection generally regarded as the #3 collection in the world, after those on Anderson and Verzyl? Who else would/might have a collection at least comparable?
  15. Overstreet has become pretty useless as concerns golden age books. For some other books it's still fairly accurate Not even close on GA.
  16. On that topic- Has there been a recent "frenzy" over the Zips with Biro bondage covers, or is this auction an anamoly? Like Zip 12, 14, 16, 17? Thx.
  17. You must be the guy who beat me for the 16. I got the 11.
  18. Last night I nabbed Master 6, Mystic 2 and Smash 7. My first wins since Monday. Going strong after a couple more books tonight, and that's it for me.
  19. After a good day one on Monday, I've been completely skunked. That will change today.
  20. Tec 27 now looks Action 1 right in the eye, I'd argue. A number of relatively recent sales of both support that.
  21. I won the Capt. Battle, Great Comics and Shock Gibson. Wish I'd seen your Shock Gibson earlier, but happy to get one regardless.
  22. I wanted this, got blown out of the water. Congrats to the winner.
  23. Agree 100%. Also, the lots close in the evening, which is good for most people as far as work schedules.
