    Will silver foil tarnish?hm

    From Google, describing silver...

"It does not react with oxygen in the air under normal circumstances. It does react slowly with sulfur compounds in the air, however. The product of this reaction is silver sulfide (Ag 2 S), a black compound. The tarnish that develops over time on silverware and other silver-plated objects is silver sulfide."

I wonder if the silver foil is coated to prevent this?

Also, silver nitrate is photosensitive, and darkens when exposed to light.

They should have used gold foil.

I actually sent for those. I was severly disapointed when I took them to school the next day...

I ordered the "Be a ventriloquist! Throw your voice! " gizmo.  If I remember correctly, it consisted of a metal clip with a wide rubber band around it.  You were supposed to put it  in your mouth to generate speech.

My brothers opened the package and slobbered all over it before I got home. :tonofbricks:

Speaking of guns..... I live in Illinois where you have a 3 day on all handguns while the state does a background check on you and make sure yer not wacko. I've been waiting over 2 weeks due to the volume of sales. Crazy times.

Hasn't Ilinois heard of that newfangled device that can perform searches in microseconds? (shrug)
