  1. He's hoping it stirs up interest. Tons selling around cover price. Lots of people willing to pay cover + shipping for a brand new book. I like the cover and, frankly, might buy it if we weren't due to have a snowstorm tomorrow on new comic day.
  2. i am sure somebody objects to this cover, but yeah, I doubt it is getting recalled. he can do a white diner waiter next issue, mix it up.
  3. clearly they want to make sure it fails so they can justify not publishing this stuff. step 1 is to have art that might be worse than my psychotic clown paintings.
  4. yup, the omnibus typically sells for more than the originals. it does put a little bit of a damper on the upside for the set if they ever do an AoA movie/cartoon or whatever.
  5. I buy these when I see them out of nostalgia because I read, and liked the series (though I really did not like how they just killed off so many non-mutant characters with a waive of the hand..pretty insulting), but skip the excalibur, x-man, and genx series as I am pretty sure those will never go anywhere as nearly every book in either series is always worthless. three x-men titles that sold tons of books in their day, lasted years, were not bad (though i never read excalibur or x-man really), produced virtually no "key" issues, and are seemingly long forgotten. throw x-treme x-men in there too. sorting through my "x-men and related' boxes is such a giant PITA. too many spint off series, too many re-boots. blech.
  6. They are supposed to have white pages and they are supposed to look like 9.6-9.8. chances are they wouldn't be at cgc, but they should look close. Even though they are from the 90s, they were bought and immediately bagged and boarded in vast quantities. Though a little after the madness and print runs of 1992-1994, not much after, and they were a big event. I bought every one off the rack, unbelievable, yes, as I was a quarter box guy then.
  7. This is so obviously a scam why are we even discussing it?
  8. More crappy packing! No comic board even this time. And the guy has sold a bunch of comics with glowing feedback. Wtf? Again, this was not high grade, so I can't be sure of any damage.. I wrote a nice note saying I am not raising a stink, but this is not how to pack a comic.
  9. Plus, after endor the Empire is still fighting for a bit. It makes sense that most of the folks in mandelorian don't believe it is gone
  10. About 100 survived 66. Vader and the inquisitors spent years hunting them down. So yes, by now who knows how many.
  11. Yup. Let him pump. Unless there's a preview of the actual story in the preview comic, like some pages or whatever, I don't get too excited about it. folks get excited about malibu sun because there are a trillion copies of Spawn 1 out there (ok, newsstands and some other variation might be harder to find), so the spawn 1st is watered down, but UF 4, just a regular number I suppose. It's not a first appearance because it isn't a comic. But to a fan of the character, it is something of interest. But if there was a magazine article hyping some new character 2 weeks before publication and they had a picture, would that be a 1st app? Comics Reader had some cover appearances of characters pre-publication, like Black Lightening...cool, but not a genuine 1st appearance, just like an ad or "coming next month" image is not. i'm still going to try and get as much as I can for my copy!
  12. sure, but bringing him in seems odd because its kind of odd to talk about how ren was his apprenice at jedi school and skim over the fact that there was a baby yoda there too. ren should be what, about 10 or 13 when this is going down? so I guess ren may have killed a 60 year old baby yoda too. i dunno. kind of anti climactic if baby yoda just gets killed by ren while in training, but we do need to explain why it seems like ahsoka, ezra, and baby yoda are all gone by the time force awakens happens. of course, it does seem odd that the whole new hope triliogy happens without ahsoka and ezra, but they had not been imagined yet...although one between aksoka and ezra, one of them has already rejected the job opportunity, but wasn't ezra pretty powerful by the end of legends? I have to admit that I watched them half asleep (or fully asleep) with my kids, so a lot of plot lines did not get into my brain. fact is, they never made it clear how many jedi were floating around after the empire. they were hunting them down, but there were like 100 of them. Clearly ahsoka knows there are more than a few left, just not many.
  13. I am hunting for a batman 312, but suspect I do not have it as the cover does not look familiar. almost sure I do not have a GOT 2 as it probably didn't hit the dollar box and i would remember the cover, i think. i did find a batman beyond 3 while looking for the 312, and that gets some decent money too. and while randmoly digging an eternals 2 I had not found before and a TNMT #1 (4trh print) I had always assumed was a #3 book... apparently, it is not!
  14. I don't know when the hostess fruit pie thief ads started, but the thanos copter issue might have served as the foundation for those, making it even more of a key book
  15. I am going blind. This is what happens when I respond to a title I read on the phone (and not the post itself).
  16. People are paying $355 for Batman 312 and thor God of thunder 2, why not this one? It is all nuts
  17. ATDPs are the stupidest thing ever put in movies. Any war machine that ewoks can take out with ropes and coconuts needs a re design
  18. well, they never really defeated them. at least that's what the mandelorian seems to be all about. they just lost their top 3 leaders over the course of the movies and then went to the edges to regroup for a generation. not to mention, they have all this technology and basically use civil war battle tactics .... let's all line up and shoot at eachother and charge....
  19. In the last year we have watched vastly more netflix. It isn't even close. I don't have a lot of interest in watching the same disney movies 5 times. I had seen all the super hero movies already. watcher Thor 1 again because I was asleep during the first time.Mando has worked out to like $10 an episode or something. Just recently my youngest started watching clone wars and rebels (again). disney got people to sign up last year with the lure of ome new content other than mando at some point in 2020 and pulld the wool over our eyes. I know, covid, but still. I've been getting new shows on netflix.
  20. They have gotten to the point where they aren't making many real new in advances in science. The occasional super weapon to blow up planets or solar systems, that's about it.
