  1. Regarding the topic of his health, are there any updates as to his present condition? Last time he surfaced, he was looking about as dire as an individual can be (even for him).
  2. All the stories collected *and* the original coloring pallet? No such animal. I wounded up getting the HCs vol #1-3. The Omnibus has the horrible Odyssey books included. The modern coloring is indeed terrible. They messed up the collected Smith Conans in the same way.
  3. ST 7 is a very underrated book. Not sure why it isn't as coveted by Bat collectors as much as it should. This was one of the few non-Adams books I just had to have once I got back into the hobby. I first read it in the treasury sized Limited Collectors Edition Batman Strangest Adventures / Issue #C-59 (a great collection of Bat stories by the way). Here's mine.
  4. See Sig. I have a nice raw copy of 'Tec 405, but not a slabbed one yet so you can just ignore the 'Tec 402 placeholder.
  5. This is not unheard of. CGC should have done this to begin with. PSA has always factored in the the subjective "eye candy" rule if the card presents itself much better than the physical grade implies. They've done very well with it and is fully accepted by the sports card collecting community. Of course, the horses are already out of the barn now and it's too late.
  6. Finally got off my butt and ordered this great book.
  7. Was really surprised it did not go for more. The eye appeal is much better than what the grade implies.
  8. The Michael Golden issues. Micronauts #1-12. Next to Miller's DD run, this was my favorite run of the late '70s early '80s right before I quit comics. A real shame the title started sliding downhill right after Golden left.
  9. I bought this book off the stands back in the day. It was a great issue, but I agree it's no where near a key. The follow-up story back in the late '80s or early '90s pretty much sucked, but issue #50 was great. This is the one where Ben comes to term towards the end of the story that he's really not as bad as the "other guy", right? I recall a typical Ben Grimm line of "Compared to him, I look like Robert Redford" or something similar.

    Gotham

I thought this show was dead. It's still on? Lost track after season 2.
  11. Good luck getting #12 in high grade. Had to settle for a 9.4 with OW/W pages. I've got a few 9.2s in my Smith set, but I'll eventually upgrade (maybe).
  12. Ya know, it only starts with the first issue. Pretty soon, you're gonna feel that itch to get the whole Smith run in high grade.
  13. Mostly on the can these days. . . . . . There. I said it.
  14. Congrats and welcome to the club. Now work on getting that copy of Savage Tales #1.
  15. To be a completionist, do we have to include all those issues of Swank magazine as well
  16. Just got this last week. Not sure how many of these exists. Of course, then there's this one.
  17. Nice to see a PowerGirl thread. She's a very recent infatuation with me. I love the Amanda Connor series and it prompted me to get a ASC #58 this past year. Unfortunately, I REALLY overpaid for my 9.6 W, albeit it's the nicest 9.6 I've ever seen (not sure why it's not a 9.8). Anyway, not a key, but PowerGirl #27 seems to be REALLY popular. That cover just bowls you over.
  18. Picked up this really cheap double cover (CGC 9.4/9.6 W). Always did like the Rocketeer despite completely losing interest in comics during this period of my life. This back cover is heads and shoulders better than the crappy front cover for this book.
  19. I virtually never buy any copper books, but this double cover was available at a relatively cheap price so I said what the heck. Although I had walked away from comics just before this period, I always did like Dave Stevens and the nostalgia that the Rocketeer brought.
  20. Not really into the McFarlanes, but got these cheap.
  21. The first of the Heavy Metal knock-offs. Just a upgrade to another raw copy I got. Odd that Gasm is listed in OSPG and not these days
  22. By the way, I'm not sure why after all these years, Marvel has not capitalized on the character of WarToy. Seems to me he would be great in the Marvel cosmic universe.
  23. Don't have a pic handy 'cause I'm still looking for that "perfect" book, but I absolutely love Kaluta's cover for Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction #2.
