  1. Love this thread. BA Bats rock. Gotta get around to scanning some of my raw books one day.
  2. I doubt it will ever show up. I'm in the boat that the artwork just got trashed.
  3. Err....blonde for me. Although I'd never say that around my wife.
  4. I am. I was a non-sports collector for a while when I was teenager. Love the vintage stuff.
  5. I'll catch this one on Blu-ray just like Suicide Squad. I'm actually a bit burnt out on Superhero movies right now. Still haven't had a chance to catch Civil War or Doc Strange.
  6. My biggest comic book influence from my youth. RIP Sir. Rest easy. Your memory will never die.
  7. That reminds me. I don't recall ever posting this upgrade to my old 9.2 Twin Cities. Not Conan nor a pedigree (not that I really care), but still Robert E. Howard and tribute to Bernie (RIP).
  8. Always great to see classic Smith Conans. A shame the whole run Smith run isn't as popular these days as in the '80s.
  9. I wouldn't call this poor shipping. From the looks of it, the seller made an honest effort to ship it securely, but USPS really banged it around. Luckily, the book seems fine. If you're going for the refund and not just the cost of a reholder fee, be sure to provide the seller with everything he needs to file a claim. He doesn't deserve to completely eat this lost given it's not his fault.
  10. I grew up with a black and white TV that had 3 channels on VHF and two local channels on UHF (you can look up what that means). Other than baseball cards, comics were literally all I had as a kid for escapism.
  11. I think Marvel Preview 4 and 7 have finally hit that level in the stratosphere where we can consider it a key now. The characters are here to stay.
  12. As much as I would love to imagine Pepper being a cougar with her hormones running wild, this most likely a tacky company shirt that 90% of Stark employees have, implying that Spidey is firmly entrenched as a company man who is towing the line with "the man". This, and probably a whole bunch of other little hints throughout the movie, will setup and add weight to Spidey's eventual defection over to Team Cap.
  13. Don't know what the surprise is. This book has always been unusually expensive and popular even back in the early '80s when I first left the hobby. It's one of those blue chip books that everyone holds onto whenever the industry or hobby takes a dip.
  14. Nice books. The .20 cent cover price is still my favorite era in Marvel Comics. GLWTS.
  15. 95+ percent of my collection is early Bronze.
  16. Great to see there's still interest in Conan. I really wish they'd get a movie right with this property. The character is deserving of a major resurgence in the comic community (other than it's current niche following with Dark Horse).
  17. I don't have a lot of original pages to begin with, but I guess if I had to pick one, it'd be this Scott Hanna piece. Bats, Catwoman (in her gaudiest outfit ever) and Joker. Picked it up real cheap. I think I put a $50 tracker bid on it and was surprised I actually won it the next day.
  18. LOL. John Millius once offered Frank 100k for this painting. Even at 100k, it sounded like a low ball offer.
  19. Very good video image of this schmuck. Shouldn't be too long before he's tracked down. He practically has his face right into the camera in a few shots like that guy who got nabbed stealing Tom Brady's jersey in the locker room right after Super Bowl LI.
