My favorite is a 9.4 Bats 227. My rarest is a 4.5 World's Finest 2.

I just wanted to update this thread. Although FedEx Ground was able to eventually find my package last month, THEY LOST ANOTHER ONE this past week! Same as before. Tracking said it was delivered, but it was not my residence that it was delivered too. They just called to tell me that they have no clue where it went and I should call the shipper (in this case, it was Comicconnect instead of CL) to initiate their lost/missing package procedure. Thank God it was not a very expensive book (CGC 9.2, 'Tec 431).

Awesome. I remember buying that book directly from the local train station newsstand as a young kid. What memories.

Man. I absolutely LOVE the DC 100 pagers. They were a very big part of my childhood.

New Gods #7. It's Steppenwolf for God's sake. I think this book is going to crash HARD one day. Although I do have to admit, it's probably the best single issue and story of the Kirby run.

Nice haul. Chamber of Chills #2 is one of my favorite books in R.E. Howard collection that is *not* Conan related.

How high did the #244 9.8 go? Last I saw it was $2600. Across the board, the Adams Bat books did very well. Bats 222 9.4 - $755 Bats 227 9.2 - $950 Bats 227 9.6 - $2501 Bats 232 9.6 - $1899 Bats 232 9.4 - $1208 Bats 234 9.6 - $1100 Bats 244 9.8 - $3350 Bats 251 9.4 - $938 Bats 251 9.2 - $900 Oddly enough, with the exception of Tec 411, the Tec line did OK, but not nearly as head turning. I think that's probably because of the lack of really high grade specimens this time around.

Wow. What memories. I remember buying each and every one of those books off the news stands as a kid. The Iron-mans in particular were awesome, especially issue #62 where he beats the out of Whiplash bare-knuckled and without the gauntlets.

Seriously, do you still have any of the Tec 411s? I can't believe how much they've taken off in the last couple of years.

Well, just an update on my situation anyway. FedEx got lucky. They had no idea where they dropped off my package, but where ever it was, the person actually reported the mis-delivered package. I guess there's still some honest people out there. They still couldn't get it right as the box was mis-routed at least twice since they picked it up from the person's residence. I went to two locations where they told me it would be waiting and it turned out to false information. Was finally delivered today and thankfully, intact.

Did that right away. Unfortunately it was around 5:30 when I called yesterday and they had already shut down for the weekend. Followed up my voicemail with an email so hopefully someone will get message on Monday.

I just sent an alert to the local comic shops around my area with a description and a link to the scanned image over at CL. Unless the shop is just unscrupulous or the thief bright enough to crack the book out, I'm not going to make it easier for him to sell it.

If it means anything to you, I'm in the same boat. My CL win was "delivered" today at house according to the tracking. I get home, no package. Spoke with my Mom and son who was in the house at the time, said they didn't see anything. I really think they delivered it to the wrong house. They're investigating now, but I really don't anything good coming out of this. FYI, it was a 9.0 copy of Tec 411.

OK. Just a few excerpts. Practically the whole issue was this visceral.

The one that started me off and got me completely hooked on comics as a kid was Orion vs Kalibak in New Gods 8. If I have time tonight. It was like WOW. I had never seen anything like that in the pages of Superman or Batman in the early '70s, I might be able to post some pages tonight if I have time.

I have one, too. I've never displayed it. Not sure if I should hold onto it, or sell. Maybe I should wait for the Harley movie. I'm thinking you should wait, as it will probably get higher closer to or right after her movie. I love that statue. I have the B/W hued version that was first released. I pre-ordered the colored one, but the seller was a thief and ripped me and a bunch of other people off. Had to put in for a fraud claim with PP to get my money back.
