  1. An eBay purchase I just got in the mail yesterday. Might have been from one of you guys.
  2. Feels like it's been ages since I've bought anything comic related. Anyway, this came in yesterday.
  3. I was going to say Steve Ditko Micronauts, which was particularly jarring coming off of Mike Golden, but after reading a few of the last threads, I'd have to agree Batman Odyssey is a bit hard to keep down.
  4. Congrats to the winner. At $1430 shipped, this is quite a deal.
  5. The Kirby New Gods run was fantastic. I've got readers of 1-11. I started collecting slabbed copies as well, but gave up when all the insanity started with issue #7. No way in hell this book is more valuable than issue #1 and I'm not paying those prices. Steppenwolf? Really?
  6. I was going to mention All Star Comics #58, of which I've been buying multiple copies of lately, but I got to thinking about what is a "really weak" story for what is considered a key or really high-dollar book. Of my own collection, I guess it would have to be this one. Although demand is not as rabid as it once was, it's still highly sought after despite the fact that story is mind-numbingly bad even by Bronze Age standards.

    Detective 402

Very underrated book and definitely very tough to find in high grade. Congrats.
  8. Bid on about 50 books, a record for me, but the snipers won out tonight. I had what i thought was a pretty aggressive bid on some of them too. Anyway, my only win tonight. An upgrade from my 9.2 Twin Cities pedigree.
  9. Yeah, I saw that over at CL. Nice pick up. Didn't bid on it, but I've been meaning to upgrade from my 8.5 ow/w at some point. Not in a hurry though as this was the last Adams Bats issue for me on my priority list.
  10. Yeah, that's right. Conway. For some reason I keep getting those two mixed up.
  11. Gwen Stacy (the original) Talia Al Ghul was the first female character I wanted to bone, but Gwen was the first one I fell in love with. My dream girl. Then that B*stard Roy Thomas killed her.
  12. First appearance of the Carpenter. For some reason, I love this ditsy chick. She reminds of so many girls I knew in the past. [/img]
  13. I thought I had already posted to this thread, but it might have been another one I was thinking of. Anyway, my only double cover.
  14. I have a Twin City 9.2 of Creatures on the Loose #10 too, but it's got a Marie Severin cover.
  15. Oh wow. I had no idea he was in ill health. One of my all time favorites and influences when once a upon a time I was a teen aspiring to be an artist. RIP. Godspeed and please give our regards to Jack, Gil, Gene, Big John, and the rest of the gang. You will be missed.
  16. Breath taking ST collection. Was the 9.8 #1 the last one that was over at CL? I think I was one of the bidders on that one if I recall.
  17. Yep. Batman 222 takes a nice 2nd place to that as well, but may deserve a mulligan since is a written in the silly Silver Age style.
  18. Awesome Conans. Amazing that these great books are still not as popular as they should be.

  20. Awesome copy. Savage Tales #1 seems to be a forgotten key these days. Love this book more than Conan #1.
