A couple of things I like pretty well...and a couple of things I like a lot! Threw in a few tracking bids that I might get serious about when it gets closer to ending.
Same but I purchased a few things at the summer auction and looking forward to comicconnect s November one.... there has just been a lot of auctions lately.. I feel like I have to pick and choose my battles

Well at least I don't have to worry about bidding against you two ?

The people at Comic Link are good people. Josh is a stand-up guy. They aren't nefarious in their dealings.
I agree , I just got off the phone with Sue (I think that's her name) in billing and she was very friendly and helpful!

There wasn't much that caught my eye this time around, except one piece.
Always like the idea behind the Maestro character...and I dig the trophy hunter aspect....for some reason.
The messed up proportions, color palette, distorted facial expression and overall style had me coming back to this one over and over.
That piece reminded me of the red skulls trophy room in old man Logan, with all the dead heroes signature items. It's quite cool

Do the consigners have any recourse with such a technical issue? Like, requesting a relisting or requesting the piece back? Sure, the chance of consigning again is reduced, but that doesn't help the situation at hand.
24 hours seems the most reasonable to me. Anything less and what Felix outlined might happen, which isn't great...
As mentioned, I don't think there are many solutions that wouldn't upset someone,, it's just a guess , but maybe comiclink would wave their 10% sellers fee to try and appease the sellers?

Doesn't heritage live bidding run until everyone's all done bidding?
It does, but it goes pretty quickly , it eliminates sniping as well, but you have to be on top of it and doesn't allow time for thought. Perhaps I should recant my previous statement and instead say that "as I love all three of the auction houses (and their willingness to give me time payment s ?) , my preferred method of bidding is comicconnect, followed by heritage, and then comiclink"

Also, the Gold Age comics forum has a thread going about that Action Comics #1 colored silver proof. Seems like an appropriate topic of discussion here as well. Maybe even more appropriate.
It's a very interesting piece with tremendous providence, owned and displayed by Harry Donefeld... I wouldn't even know where to start with an approximate estimate for its value, 100k?? Anyway speaking of Donefeld , it reminds me of a good book about him called 'men of tomorrow ' in case anyone is interested in a good book about the beginning of dc comics and it's first publisher.

I never follow, read, bid, in the comic connect auction,
I found their web site difficult to navigate,
Hard for first time users.A more friendly site will attract my attention
and get my bids and money..!And nothing against comiclink or heritage , but I for one prefer the 'extended bidding' over at comicconnect...... I feel it maximizes sales numbers for sellers, and totally eliminates sniping for buyers

Thanks, guys! That means a lot to this fella who doesn't have much of a clue.
I actually really like the Daredevil one as well, as I was right into that series during that time. Well-written and well-illustrated too.
The only one that I'm not crazy about is the Platt, but I wanted to have a Platt piece, so there you go. Would have much preferred a Moon Knight page, but those are probably $1000+
I think that's a pretty sweet deal you got on the alias Michael gaydos piece , it's super cool!

After all the auctions this summer , I would need a 55 month payment plan in order to complete the transaction

Well, if the pieces don't have reserves I should be able to secure my first TWD OA. If that is only a piece of the collection I can't imagine the market is large enough to absorb it all at once at record highs.
Right!?

The psylocke was re-used as a variant cover. Now I want to figure out if I can extrapolate the value of my sabretooth card art, which was also used as a variant cover from that finish

Personally I would want the sabertooth more than the psylocke.....

With charges like that its often you are guilty (innocent until proven guilty goes out the window in the eyes of society in these cases) and then you go to court, and regardless of the verdict , you are still "the guy charged with THAT" .... its kind of a hard thing to bounce back from even if you are acquitted. Keep in mind also , that a judge had to sign off on the warrant based on the evidence presented to him to allow the arrest etc.
