  1. Finally, here is my favorite purchase of the day. Fills both a hole in my picture frame and BA Giant collections.
  2. I mostly focused on books for my picture frame collection:
  3. Just picked up a bunch of nice BA books at a local Montreal con. You can see my report in the Comic Events section. A couple from Harley:
  4. I went to a small con here in Montreal this afternoon (for details see the thread in Comics Events) and picked up this nice VF book from Harley Yee.
  5. CLink has been selling a lot of early Tecs (40s & 50s) in recent auctions. There are little to no sales of these books in GPA. Just in this last auction I was looking at books that showed no sales for five years in GPA. This makes the books look rarer than they really are and doesn't help guys like me decide what to bid. A real shame that CLink doesn't provide this data. Mike
  6. Yes. There are both pre-code and post-code Atlas Church copies. I guess that I new this as I just remembered that I have one.
  7. i was looking at that bad boy, but too rich for me as well; i got this little Atlas instead. I only collect books with the Atlas logo on them. Any idea if there are any Church books from that period? Mike
  8. This baby is finishing on CLink tonight. Too rich for my blood at $1,100, but a great, black, Everrett cover.
  9. Nice to see these books, they don't get posted very often. Mike
  10. I haven't picked up many Atlas books recently, but managed to snag this one a couple of weeks ago! Mike
  11. Yep, I picked up a few nice books from the Toronto Collection, but the incredible volume of different books is very daunting to any of us Atlas collectors. Does anyone out there have a complete set of Atlas logo books?Mike
  12. Kudos to Silver Surfer for a Doctor Strange 180. Mike
  13. Kudos to djpinkpanther67, johnenock, towards2112 and arexcrooke for some really nice books. Also to Tony Edwards for a some purchase. Mike
  14. Kudos to October and Wrightson fan for some nice books. Also kudos to topofthetotem for forwarding on some books sent to the wrong board member. Mike
  15. From Wikipedia: It is unclear if Heath, anxious to fight in World War II, graduated high school; in a 2004 interview, he recalls going "into the Air Force in my senior year of high school, in 1945," after having been "put in an accelerated class so I could get through with high school. I almost made it, but then the Air Force called me and in I went".[2] He served stateside for nine months, drawing cartoons for his camp newspaper, but due to a clerical error, he said, he was on neither the military payroll nor any official duty roster for a significant portion of his time. Upon his discharge, he lived at home on a one-year military stipend of $20 a week before working as a lifeguard at a swim club, where he met his future wife.
  16. Also picked up some nice Wings books:
