  1. I'll show you what it's like to be a man of your word. I'm not going to ignore you altogether, because it's not really "worth it", since you can seemingly contribute positively outside of the movie sub-forum. An admission that some people won't make, just because they disagree on a movie. I'm not going to respond to any more of your antagonistic posts on this thread, though. Edit: I said my piece for pretty much everything I posted already. It's just not worth the time to repeat the same things over and over if someone doesn't 'get it'.
  2. You're obviously worked up. Championing the "strong women" that "our fragile egos need to accept as a role model for females everywhere". Take a breath. Maybe put me "back on ignore". Live up to your word and stop creating arguments for other people that they're not conveying. Captain Marvel is not a compelling character, not because she's a "strong woman" (doesn't even appear as an emotionally strong person - OP level for no legitimate reason notwithstanding), but because she has no arc other than feminist tropes that don't really have a good place in the MCU.
  3. On a kinda related note, does anyone happen to know the 1st cover which featured all 7 Justice League characters? Or know someone who may? Is it Justice League of America #5?
  4. Stop talking about me or I'll have no other choice but to destroy you. If you're here only for "matter of fact" posts, then fine, ignore me. I thought @Buzzetta was here for good times, though, too. What a shame. Ignore me if you don't like to have fun and/or take everything too seriously. Good riddance.
  5. Is this Pre-Code Horror? I had to Google the term...
  6. I couldn't care less about the knowledge of spaghetti westerns. No one is omniscient. I have knowledge that you certainly don't. That shouldn't bother you. If it does - then there are other things for you to worry about. This is the old adage of being concerned that you have more than your neighbor, rather than being concerned that your neighbor has enough. Edit: And, really? Gaslighting? What's the point? I know what it is, and it doesn't work.
  7. Reasonably said. I'm not taking it personally, because it's just not worth getting invested in. Chuck and Co. seem to think that their opinion is "correct", despite the fact that other people don't like the movie. It's not worth getting as heated as he is. Gatsby, on the other hand, seems to have just completely misunderstood my posts. That's why I asked how I was "disrespecting" or "making claims" that I wasn't doing? It just doesn't make sense. I'm not attacking anyone and I'm not saying that he's attacking me, but he's making it out to be that I am. I don't understand how he came to that conclusion. If anyone is trying to 'read between the lines' of my posts - don't. There's nothing to be found there. I'm not interested in a fight. Don't try to claim that my opinion are invalid or uneducated, either. I saw the movie twice, understanding the context of the MCU and some comic material. I have more than enough 'data' to make a well-informed opinion on this movie (and most movies I watch).
  8. There isn't an easy way to ask this, but I'll try. Pretend you have unlimited financial resources. You're Bill Gates, or Jeff Bezos. If you could only own 1 comic, what would it be? Is it Action Comics #1, even though the monetary value doesn't really mean anything? Mine would probably be Brave and the Bold #28, or the 1st Cover with all 7 OG Justice League members (not sure which issue that is).
  9. There are, for lack of a better term, outliers? In playing cards - Lotrek decks will always have value. In comics - AF15, FF1, etc will always have value. I wouldn't advise getting into comics to "invest", though. It just so happens that certain books will (almost certainly) always be super valuable. One day they might not be worth Jack. It's possible. Hobbies as "investments" isn't usually a good idea.
  10. Top right. Click on your profile. "Ignored Users". There are 4 methods of "ignoring".
  11. Okay? Is someone keeping public tabs on people ignoring me? Are you trying to "hurt my feelings" by telling me that you're going to ignore me? Chuck habitually gets emotional invested in his opinions and takes it out on anyone who disagrees. It took him 50 posts to admit that Captain Marvel does not have the Power Cosmic (objective fact). I don't really see the necessity to ignore me, but I'm not going to convince you otherwise. You'll find more soft opinionated posts in this sub-forum by me than you will by him. Have a nice day!
  12. I thought I was "on ignore". I'm not even going to bother reading this blog. "Listen, kid" - The beginning to a response that nobody will care to read. Go try bullying someone else. I don't have time for immature, pretentious, insecure "adults".
  13. The bolded is the problem. All I did was ask what a "spaghetti western" is, and got my groin jumped all over. I never disrespected anyone. I never claimed to be a bigger overall movie buff, etc. The ridiculousness of some people's posters are just... Out of this world. Also - When in the hell did I accuse anyone of making the term up..? Are you even serious? Wtf are some people even talking about? Some of you are clearly misreading and taking this discussion way too seriously. I feel like I'm in an episode of The Twilight Zone. This is some absurd %^&*.
  14. This is what happens when you change your National Anthem...
  15. You shouldn't really hold any comics for "investing purposes"...
  16. I would suggest people keep in mind that there are psychological reasons "bullies" move from arguing perspective to attacking the person. For whatever reason, some people's egos are too fragile to admit when they're wrong. First step to solving a problem is admitting that there is one. You'll never learn anything from being a hard-headed troglodyte. Just because you're "anonymous" doesn't mean that you can't be civil.
