  1. I could see it getting a 6.5, but yes, you need to get this graded. $$$$$.
  2. 100% agree. "Key" does not mean "old and expensive". Spawn #1 is the first appearance of Spawn (the biggest non-Marvel/DC character IMO), first issue for the title character, etc. It printed and sold a lot. Just because it's affordable does not make it any less important.
  3. Since I haven't thrown in my yet: First trailer looked 'meh'. Second trailer killed it. I love the 2014 Godzilla film. It's too bad that my dad didn't see it in theaters, because it's a whole different experience with the SFX. I am really looking forward to this, despite the overplayed 'Earth is dying' theme in recent movies.
  4. I've noticed that a certain someone has vacated the premises since this film got that bil*.
  5. I agree with your notion that Disney needs to be okay with Star Wars movies not grossing a billion dollars, but... They need to produce films that are more than just "fun" with a Star Wars label. As I mentioned in my post, despite not caring too much for Rogue One, its story serves a purpose and it is a good movie. Han's backstory here does nothing other than give meaning to things that don't have meaning from the original trilogy. I think I've also mentioned here, that opposed to doing a Fett movie, they should do a Bounty Hunters movie. Give fans a reason to understand why Fett is the best. Why does Vader only call those specific guys to hunt down Han in Episode V? Stories like that add to the Star Wars name. Movies like Solo do not.
  6. I have The Dark Knight Returns #1-4 all signed by both Miller and Janson. I also have the Death of Superman run all signed by the writer for each issue. They're no Action #1 or Detective #27, but they're a couple of my favorite stories. I've been focusing on buying and reading trade paperbacks and Absolute Editions for them lately more-so than CGC books. I'm also trying to catch up on the current Action and Detective stories since the DC Rebirth. What about you?
  7. Completely disagree. Black Panther is just a another rehash of the first Iron Man. Infinity War is a unique concept, even in comparison to its prequel Avengers films.
  8. I saw that this is on Netflix, Saturday, so I watched it. I got bored 20 minutes in. It was not good. Some lore is great for its mystery and doesn't need to be explained (Kessel Run). Other krap that didn't exist in the original trilogy can't really be added without alienating that story (speaking 'Wookie', stupid lucky prop dice). That droid is literally the opposite of K2S0 and was a completely worthless inclusion to this. The difference between this whoop-diddy scoop poop, and Rogue One, is that the latter provided a story that mattered to the original trilogy. Many people thought that the opening to the Death Star was a huge plot hole. I'm not big on Rogue One, but it serves a purpose. Solo does nothing to capitalize on a dead character. It wasn't even fun for me. Isn't Chewy close to 1k lbs? How can a 150 lb Han Solo hold onto him..? Easily 1/5.
  9. How do you prevent the UV radiation from entering your home through the front door when you open it?
  10. For a minute there I thought you were mocking Swami...
  11. Not that I'm aware of. So some of these titles, that have been collected under Absolute Editions, won't be sought after as collectibles. I don't really think that TPBs are generally 'collectible' anyhow. I know that all of the newly-issued Black Label series/issues are all M/18+, but I think these reprinted stories are considered by DC to be 'more adult'. Of the stories that I have read - Watchmen, TDK Returns, and The Killing Joke - I agree. I thought it was interesting/weird when I found All-Star Superman TPB under the Black Label imprint. I haven't read it yet, so Idk if it's mature or not. In my mind I'm not/wasn't expecting it to be. I haven't read 18 of the 22 TPBs on the list in the OP so it will be fun for me to buy and read them all.
