  1. Reeve was certainly a great Superman. Routh had the look but none of the charisma IMO. Cavill has the look, the body, and the charisma. People say he wasn't/isn't a hopeful Superman... Look at him overcoming the World Engine by sheer will power despite being weaker than he's used to. Willing to sacrifice himself to Zod to save Earth. In BvS he tried to do the 'right' things despite the world looking at a flip-side. Even when Luthor had his mother he avoided outright killing Batman to save her life. And then, as mentioned, he was the Superman everyone knows in Justice League. He's my favorite live-action Superman.
  2. I planned on picking this up during pre-order (for the Iron Spider suit), but with bachelor parties and weddings I just didn't have the budget. I'll probably get it in a couple weeks. There hasn't been a great Spider-Man video game since the first one for the PS2. I'm really looking forward to this. It still baffles me that there hasn't been a good Iron Man or Thor video game yet. With the Mark L Bleeding Edge suit now, you could make a video game even more fun with all of the possibilities, while villains and stories might be more trouble because he's virtually a one-man army. Thor could be fun, though. Travel through the Nine Realms, fight alien races, and free planets and stuff.
  3. It's not impressive, but I have the entire New 52 Justice League run. #0-#52, #23.1-#23.4, Future's End, and 7 Darkseid War issues. It only costed about $200. I bought the whole lot on eBay, but it had 3 variant covers (despite the listing saying there were none), so I had to search and buy the directs for those. I also have the entire Civil War series thanks to the Marvel slipcase sets that they published a couple of years ago. Like I said, not impressive, but they make me happy.
  4. I guess I voted hastily. I just considered that if I personally hosted a site where a member was in a Hall of Shame for spurning members out of goods or money, I would revoke their PM status or ban them to protect the community. I understand that CGC doesn't verify transactions and stuff, but I thought they'd be more interested in keeping things 'clean'. I also understand that the site is more than just buying and selling comics, and that's what changes my POV. I don't think that bans for HOS are appropriate. I'm torn on revoking PMs, though. I don't see many reasons for PMing other than for offers, and trading personal info for transactions. Unless two insufficiently_thoughtful_persons wanna argue with each other without getting warnings on the public board lol.
  5. Doesn't really seem necessary, considering that I was talking about the story, but okay... For clarity: Zack Snyder co-wrote Wonder Woman's story, and did not write Dawn of Justice's story. People consider WW to have a good story and the latter to be lacking (specifically in regards to the resolution between the titular heroes).
  6. He still co-wrote it... My point was that Snyder is a great visual storyteller and director. People seem to blame him for all of DC's film problems, despite him probably being the only actual person who was/is "in power" with a plan for the universe. That's detailed by the stories that he did write/co-write and his ability to bring the comic panels to life on the big screen.
  7. Is the seller looking at the item that eBay redirects you to because the original listed item is no longer available..? The redirected item is listed at 9.4, and the item you bought is listed as "NM" which is technically a 9.4, but the listing does not specifically say "9.4". Discouraging feedback from you, for sure. They don't have much neutral or negative feedback, though. If what you're saying is true, then it's very poor behavior on behalf of Secret Society Comics.
  8. The Dawn of Justice Director's Cut is great. It's not perfect, but it's a great movie.
  9. Wtf is happening to this place..?
  10. No one knows, and at the same time, everyone knows.
  11. I agree with the above sentiments. Man of Steel is one of my Top-10 favorite movies. I have watched it a lot.
  12. This. As a buyer, slabs being more expensive, it's easier for me to pick up 1 every other week on my budget as opposed to saving up and getting them all at once. I tend to buy raw books in bundles to lower shipping costs and because I plan on reading them. Idk about valuable raw books, though.
  13. Thanks! I can never get enough of The Dark Knight and Heath Ledger's Joker. I understand the direction WB is trying to move into, but I just personally can't see it working. And that's the thing... They don't seem to have an actual plan. Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios had/have a plan. Zack Snyder had a plan. I know that Disney has some guidelines and restrictions for Marvel films, but they don't interfere in the same manner as WB does. I was/am a big fan of what Snyder was doing. Man of Steel and the Dawn of Justice Director's Cut are 2 of my Top 10 favorite movies of all-time. I don't want 2 comic book universes that do the same thing. I loved having the more comedy-driven and light side of Marvel and the darker, more serious, side of DC. If WB would have stopped interfering and demanding shorter run times, I think the box office and reviews would show them that Snyder's vision works. It's difficult to introduce the new Batman, Wonder Woman, Alexander Luthor, Doomsday, etc etc etc. in a 3-hour movie. Let alone 2.5 hours. IIRC, Zack Snyder didn't want the rest of the Justice League cameos in BvS. And then in Justice League, you're introducing Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg, and Steppenwolf, and the Mother Boxes, and resurrecting Superman, etc etc etc... In less than 2 hours..? It's bizarre. One thing I absolutely hated about JL is that there's no Green Lantern. The Lanterns are supposed to protect Earth from invasions specifically like Steppenwolf. I can go on about this forever but it's just beating a dead horse. Sorry for the long-winded reply lol.
  14. Haha, thanks. I've already said it a few times that the only variants I like are the DC directs of Action Comics #1000. Otherwise I really hate them.
  15. The thing is... How do you carry-on a cinematic universe that Batman and Superman have been in, where Steppenwolf is in (in the Snyder Cut he was killed by Darkseid on-screen), and Darkseid's been named in... Without recognizing those characters existed..? Superman has been the focus of the DC Worlds and Batman brought the League together... I don't see how they can pull this off successfully.
  16. Absolutely! I challenged DC to make a Kickstarter campaign to see just how much people want a Snyder Cut (there was also that Snyder Cut petition). Recently, it's been said that they won't release one because they're using Snyder footage and story in the Cyborg 2020 movie. The DC film universe is such a hole right now.
  17. Here's just the top Google search: https://www.polygon.com/2018/2/13/17007872/zack-snyder-justice-league-fired It's not even close to speculation. Zack Snyder's "rough cut" of Justice League was about 150 mins. It included a Steppenwolf without the humanoid face (which is why his CGI sucked), the Anti-Life Equation, and a Darkseid tease. Snyder's Russian battle was also more black and blue than orange and purple. This color-correction done by Joss Whedon is part of what made Superman's anti-stache bad. The tone of the movie is what all of the CGI is prepared to, so when you change it like this, it ends up with poor graphics. There was also backstory for The Flash (including his girlfriend) and Cyborg (including pre-integration with both of his parents), more Mrs. Kent and Lois Lane stuff, Black Suit Superman (and a scene where he ditches the black suit for his righteous red and blue), Vulko giving advice to Aquaman, more Mera, etc. Snyder and others behind-the-scene have revealed tons of information regarding the Snyder Cut. Edit: Joss Whedon is exclusively responsible for the first worthless 30 seconds of the movie with that kid POV phone camera interview. Whedon is also responsible for the parademon's green blood leaving the shape of the 3 Mother Boxes on the building (shoot me)... And just, so, so much more...
  18. This is not correct. Warner Bros used this as a way to keep Justice League chatter in a positive light. It came out, long ago, that Snyder was fired from the project. Zack Snyder has not even seen Justice League because of this. Edit: They also used his daughter's passing scapegoat as a way to get fans to believe that Snyder's vision of direction for the movie would stay in tact, because had he left the project, he would retain all approval and rejection for the movie's material. As the finished project shows us, that was not the case. WB wanted a shorter movie, so that they could show the movie in more slots per theater. What the insufficiently_thoughtful_persons at WB didn't realize is that no matter how short or long the movie is. if it isn't great, people are not going to fill those seats.
