  1. He's directing a scene in which Kylo Ren tells Rey that he hates sand...
  2. Almost every comic book film/TV trailer released at comic conventions is a "teaser". Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Black Panther, Infinity War, etc. They were all visually limited, with vague dialogue exposition. The first Age of Ultron trailer is considered a "teaser", despite being longer than 2 minutes. This Captain Marvel trailer is filled with visuals and a lot of in-scene dialogue. Definitely an Official Trailer.
  3. It's Official Trailer #1. Trailer #1, for whatever reason, is always called a "Teaser Trailer". To me, that doesn't make sense. IMO a "Teaser Trailer" is what Marvel put out during the Super Bowl for Avengers: Infinity War (30 seconds). Edit: By definition, a "teaser trailer" is close to a minute, and has very few visuals with vague dialogue. This does a lot more than that. It doesn't explain much, but Marvel's 1st trailers never explain much.
  4. At the end of the trailer, in her Air Force uniform, "I'm not what you think I am." That was delivered with attitude. Her facial expression and stance in the train station after her crash landing shows she has no worry/fear. Also, that transition from "HER" to "A HERO" wasn't to express "HER", it was just a cool way of saying, "See what makes HER A HERO." Kathleen Kennedy and Rian Johnson have nothing to do with Marvel Studios.
  5. Yeah, even though the OP is a newbie to the site, this topic doesn't pose any questions, so this is the wrong sub-forum altogether.
  6. Nice Black Lotus avatar. As long as it's disclosed somewhere, and not intentionally hidden, I wouldn't mind. I don't collect restored books, though, so my opinion may not matter much. Edit: After looking through the OP images, it's very clearly stated that the book has been restored. This listing is good to me.
  7. It's my opinion that your invalidating opinion is invalid. It's frankly mind-boggling how stubbornly dickish you are about your own opinion concerning nothing other than invalidating others. You're obviously a valuable contributor to this thread.
  8. Idk. If 9.8 is as close to Mint as you can get without actually being Mint, then a comic this nice with 1 noticeable flaw is a 9.6 to me.
  9. Do you get your jokes from Michael (the guy that works 2 desks behind me)? I only ask because he also laughs at himself despite the crickets everywhere else...
  10. Oh, I didn't realize that I was having a conversation with the Szar of Comic Collecting. The last time that I checked, variants being annoying, obnoxious, and ridiculous are all legitimate reasons that affect my collecting. You can't just claim that everyone else's opinions are invalid. There is no objective reasoning to be presented here. They have prevented me from collecting in the past, and they've annoyed me from collecting in the present. It's a PITA to sort through dozens of variants to find the comic I'm looking for. It's a problem when my LCS has only variants of an issue and not the direct cover. It's a problem, and a valid concern. I stand by my comments.
  11. Aside from being 6 months out and possibly not done with their CGI, I think the Skrulls reveal in-movie will blow more than a few people away. Obviously, us comic readers know what they can do, but to the general public who may only watch the movies it will be a huge reveal. I suspect that they will reveal Ronan in the next trailer and keep away from the Skrulls. I could be wrong, but Marvel does a good job of misdirection in their trailers over the past couple of years. I think Ronan will be a small and quick interaction early-on, possibly him defeating her is what sends her crash-landing back on Earth. I think they'll use that/him as a facade for the true villain/conflict.
  12. My best friend texted me kinda the same reaction. "Other than it looking like an origin story, I don't understand the conflict, and Idk what to think." To be fair, Marvel Studios doesn't share much story-wise in the 6-month out trailer. Mostly a "feel" for the type of film it will be. Ronan the Accuser and the Skrulls are supposed to be the villains in this one. Despite Ronan being a Kree, as established in Guardians of the Galaxy, he's a fanatic that his species does not support. The Kree Empire is at war with the Skrulls.
  13. Jackwagon. Edit: I was asking if they re-use the current label as opposed to making a new one. Lol.
  14. I think that having more than maybe, a couple, of different covers is obnoxious and ridiculous. It was frustrating for me as a beginner, because I didn't know how to identify what was a variant, and what wasn't. We already get different covers for every issue, we don't need 50 variants (and even more with virgin variants) for a single story. The decade variants for Action Comics 1000 are cool. IMO blank/sketch variants are cool, but outside of those, the publishers should just stop. They're annoying.
  15. I think I know the answer to this question, but, does CGC upgrade the label to their latest if you submit slabs for reholder?
  16. I am not one of these people, and I don't like them, so this just isn't true.
