Several past threads on this seller. Name is Charlie, out in the West Cast, legit seller, doesn't need money. Overprices his books and doesn't mind sitting on them forever. Most of his books are flips from long past eBay purchases.
Yeah I remember in one of my ebay exchanges with him he mentioned not caring about his books going unsold. I guess you can charge FU prices if you just don't give a bleep whether they sell or not.

I have not but became aware of them looking for tmnt #1, I saw the price and clicked on their store....your right they do have a lot but haven't watched too long. I remember them having feedback though, so they must sell something
I've bought one book from him on a (make on offer) long time ago. Paid more than I wanted to even after haggling to death! That was before discovering this site though. He had a book I was dying for in high grade that I couldn't find anywhere else. Had I known about this place I'd of attempted to communicate it to him under the radar.
He was very responsive though. I don't think he'll respond unless you make a serious offer. Likely won't buy from him again unless I can get him away from eBay. His prices are absolutely absurd!

Frustratingly no clear answer to this. If you want to go strictly by time span then it's ASM 80, Jan '70. If you want to go by a reflection of contemporary social change then it's ASM 96, April '71.
In my view it's ASM 80. A time span is best way to determine this otherwise everyone will have a different answer
Edit: ASM 96 = May '71

From a good boardie who had it tucked away in his collection !
Congratulations. Haven't checked valuation of that book but I'd imagine every version of it will be on the move for the foreseeable future. I think it's a keeper!

Very hard to find in high grade.
I noticed that silver & bronze iron man & hulks to some extent are very low census on all grades. Is this because people just haven't submitted as many of those for grading or marvel didn't print as many?

Sorry if this has already been posted.
Incase anyone is interested the H&I (heroes & icons) network is playing the show every weekday at 5 pm eastern.
They just ran the second episode other day where Banner wakes up from his nightmare in the research chamber turns into hulk & breaks out. I've seen that probably a million times but i still love watching that part ! Never gets old.
Anyways just a heads up on the show.
Edit: Comcast definitely carries the channel but I don't know about other providers

I submitted a book for reholdering because the book was moving slightly in the well. I don't even know if they'll notice. If they see that it's moving a little bit would that compel them to regrade? This is assuming the case is undamaged.

So there we go - the CVA sticker materially affected the outcome. If it warranted it, why would anyone not want one on their own books when they came to sell them?
I wouldn't call it a trend if one sucker gets duped by it. The vast majority of collectors will ignore it. Besides I got an arguably better looking copy same grade on the c-link exchange for a lower price.

Apparently it had an effect on someone at C-link. I was bidding on a cva certified book (not because it had that seal) but because obviously it was a book I wanted & had great centering. I had a reserve bid that was far & away above market range. Some dude outbid me by 100 freakin dollars at the very last second. Whomever it was went like 3x above market
Congrats to them I guess

It would appear sale #1 fell through:
You gotta be kidding me with this guy ! Did you see the photos for his other listings? I can't see them without some sort of super magnify mode on my phone. One of them was taken next to his "dri-fit" sock! Dude's a joke!

Worst comic seller alive, or someone looking to run a quick scamola. The latter seems more likely.
Wouldn't the buyer be protected if it turns out to be a reprint or something other than the item pictured or described?

I believe the answer is no, but would like confirmation on this! They do list CC and HA.
I'll give em a call tomorrow to make sure. I don't believe they list HA though

The monthly "Focused" auctions have a mix of books, lots of mid-tier mixed in with some nice stuff in between. The "Featured" auctions happen quarterly (I think) and that's when they bring out the primo books. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Would you happen to know if GPA lists sales from comiclink? I know they list comicconnect sales but it takes a while for them to show up.

Can someone please explain this CGC grade?

There's always weird stuff going on with this particular book for whatever reason! Spider roaches, terrible signature placing, fishy eBay listings, severe color fading etc...
