Pie in the sky wishes = fantastic four #5 in 9.8 white
AF 15 highest graded unrestored.
Realistic = iron man #19 9.8 white
ASM #151 9.8 white
Second thought if someone please would just list an iron man 50 9.6 W on eBay for a rational price I'll be a happy camper.

Curious why didn't they include wolverine on this cover?
Happy holidays as well

I have the 1st secret wars 12 issue run. Probably wouldn't mind going for the ASM 176-180 Bart Hamilton green goblin mini run.
Small achievable goal since I don't collect too many raws

Beautiful books! That ASM #300 is gorgeous and a newsstand version!
Thanks Mosc. I love the cover but in my view it should have been the #301 cover instead of the regular costume. Would have been much better to have Venom featured on the 300 cover. IMHO of course

my top three books I picked up this year were:
Detective Comics 29 Jon Berk copy
Detective Comics 34 (upgrade)
Detective Comics 37 (upgrade)
Wow, those are from around the WWII years if I'm not mistaken! Serious retro books!

My top 3 favorites but not necessarily most valuable are
Hulk 181
G.S. X-MEN 1
ASM 122
Already posted pics of them

ASM 300 and 316 for a GRAND? Wow, there are thousand of high grade copies of those. Seems like a pretty risky “investment”. There are so many truly great books that you could get for that kind of scratch...
316 9.8 signed by Lee/McFarlane will fetch a thousand.
By semi high grade 300 I mean a 9.6. that'll go for a grand. It'll definitely be there closer we get to movie release

Interesting that's my LCS.... I didn't realize they sold on Amazon. I'll have to look them up and see if what's online is available in store. They seem to have fair pricing. How do you compare their grading?
Well it was just on a whim I decided to search Amazon for that book since after searching forever I couldn't find it anywhere in a 9.6 cgc (non signed). Low & behold there it was! It was a pretty fair price definitely within range. I searched their eBay & Amazon stores & the one I bought was probably the only cgc bronze age book they had.
Don't know how to compare their grading since I mostly buy cgc cbcs & almost never raw books

Don't think I've seen too many Stern sigs. Nice finds.
I recently got in a #70 (Spider-man wanted cover) 9.4 Lee signed that I haven't gotten around to posting.

There would be know way to verify the legitimacy of an independent sale.
I bought it from Titan comics through Amazon. Gave them all the relevant transaction information. No reason why they can't verify

They track Heritage. Don't believe they track comiclink.
I don't think GPA would accept data from a buyer but you can certainly contact GPA and ask. I'm guessing GPA doesn't track sales from Amazon or Facebook.
Thought I should also mention that GPA won't record a sale if it's obvious the auction has been shilled.
Ok it's comicconnect however not comiclink. Don't believe c-link lists books that were sold in their site though I could be wrong on that.
Contacted GPA on the book (ASM 148) & never got a response. Oh well, I gave it a shot

My understanding is that some sites want to cherry pick the data they submit. By submitting only high results they'd distort the results to the high side and distort the market. GPA, rightly, won't accept sales data unless it's all results.
Ok. I'm not sure if GPA tracks Heritage/comicconnect however. I don't think they cherry pick.
On a different note would you happen to know if a buyer can submit a sale to GPA? I bought a book recently on Amazon & would like to report it to them

GPA won't accept sales data from sites that want to cherry pick data and doesn't record ungraded sales or sales of other grading company books. And of course they aren't aware of all sales as they can't follow every site and seller.
Sites that cherry pick data???

But remember GPA is primarily taken from E-Bay sold prices (couple other sites but E-Bay is the biggest by far). I pay for the GPA service because I like the convenience but E-Bay sold prices will do in a pinch for most books on the market.
There's also comicsMV.com heritage.com sold prices, pedigree.com sold prices, I think comicconnect provides pending sale prices
I've bought plenty of books that are not recorded by GPA. Unfortunately they're only a very partial reflection of book sales

Mid grade giant size x men #1
ASM #300 semi high grade
ASM #316 high grade (if you could tolerate one) signed by Lee/McFarlane

Bought this for $150. I am mentioning this because it has been discussed before about the cost effectiveness of actually obtaining the item in person considering the meet and greet fee, the slabbing fee, the shipping fee, the facilitation fee, and the cost of the comic itself. Note to the kiddies... you have to have patience and unlike Bono of U2 you can find what you are looking for. (He STILL hasn't found what he is looking for.)
Would like to find a higher graded 2009 old navy version with the same signature placement. No luck so far

Well it's to avoid staining the holder. You know I hear there are other websites to satisfy what apparently has your mind occupied. Anyways have a good one

Maybe production but production or not, I would not like it as a 9.8. That is a flaw that can get worse in the slab over time, especially if the book is shipped again. If the book seems 'loose' in the inner well, it may be post slabbing. Sometimes the cover 'sticks', static electricity ? So the book moves around a little but the cover stays resulting in stress and maybe tears at the staple. I've seen it happen on my own book before. Whatever you do, don't remove it from the slab. It's a 9.8 because the label says so, otherwise it is not. If it bothers you, sell it.
Could it have been factored into the grading?
This week in your collection?

A couple of bronze X-Men from auctions.
Love the cover tribute to X-Men #1 on 104
Last one is a 10x16 poster
Curious anyone know why X-Men books are about a quarter inch narrower in width than the other marvel books?
