  1. You cracked it out of the slab? When did you get back the second re holder back? If they use thicker slabs then it'll make storage an issue. Its tough enough to store these things as it is. It'll suck if they start using those giant size slabs. Yeah it's an irritant to have the books move around like that but could also be dangerous during the shipping. It's so...
  2. There's the option to have the reholder done free through Brittany McManus. I myself tried that with 9 books only to have most come back same or worse. Someone posted in the page before this one about sending 10 back for the free reholder having little success. I'm fortunate since I'm in south Florida that it's a short voyage to CGC by mail. Nonetheless there's alway a chance of a re-slabbing mishap. Have you tried any of the proposed solutions a few pages back?
  3. That was the last page on 132. Angel makes a surprise appearance in beginning of 132. I think Byrne drew Wolverine the best in costume especially the face but I never liked how he drew him out of costume...Here's the splash from 133
  4. For 500 I'd probably look for the best raw copy of a dark cover silver age Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer or ASM. If you wanna go bronze then maybe the best raw copy of X-Men 120 or maybe a 9.8 X-Men 121 if you're willing to go a bit higher. I'm posting a graded bronze later that maybe could work for a bit lower number if willing to speculate a little?
  5. ...I agree with your theory on page two. Store clerk having 1 more sticker than no price copy then applies sticker to regular copy. Store gets to sell their bottle of detergent to spidey fan's mom...everyone happy!...well except maybe for Marvel
  6. Ok but say someone at some point in time knew the sticker added value and used a sophisticated technique to remove it from another copy that...Maybe had the cover ripped off or whatever. I'm just figuring if this person had such knowledge they'd of placed the sticker over the barcode like the others not wherever they wanted. Again, the sticker itself doesn't appear (emphasis on appear) to have signs of having been peeled up along the edges. It also looks to have wear/surface wear consistent with the book. The fact that it was in some dollar bin could be explained away by an unsuspecting inheritor. The translucency differences can be due to the scans or maybe the production of the sticker itself? Are you aware of any other promotion from All detergent in which the same sticker was used? In any regard its really a fascinating anomaly to try and figure out!
  7. Ughh...I think I'm a little closer to the Phil side now
  8. If you're familiar with the appearance of maybe the majority of comic collectors so would others around him 🤢! The image of Ron Jeremy comes to mind
  9. Way to go bud 💥🤘! Technically the SS14 is silver because it was out in Dec '69 but I'm sure there's opinion variance on the cutoff. You gonna post the other silver age submissions here?
  10. Probably so but there may be a chance they could characterize it as "All detergent giveaway pricing error"? I'd at least try to look into it. Its better than just having it sit around in a bag & board without ever knowing.
  11. If some previous owners decided at some point to remove the sticker from a no price and stick it on to this one wouldn't there be some indication of peel off removal along the outer edge of sticker? It appears to be consistently flat along its outer edge. If someone had the ability to reproduce such an identical facsimile All sticker wouldn't they have the presence of mind to place it where the others are on the no price copies? Wouldn't it be possible those no price copies without the sticker never had them? I'd agree with the scenario proposed by some that it may of been the result of a store employee acting on their own. I wonder if its possible to send it off to CGC for a screening and have them determine how they'd characterize it on the label??? Worth a shot
  12. CGC sometimes screws up by encapsulating the book closer to one side of the slab. I've had a couple of books come back misaligned but not all the way to one side like that. I don't know but this type of blunder along with NRs are proving the encapsulation process hazardous for CGC Is it moving around in the slab?
  13. I'm not entirely sure even if they had to regrade that the sigs would be invalidated? Cgc would have to determine that the book is accessible in the slab for regrade. They probably would rather avoid having to regrade it. Looks like the heavy damage is limited to the bottom left side. The label doesn't look like it could have been tampered with. The book "looks" like it didn't suffer damage. Its possible to damage the slab just enough to where the book is not accessible only requiring a reholder.
  14. That's what I suspected the moment I read the OP. There are some in the thread putting some blame on RMA because of not sending the correct return label. This is neither here nor there since if the package had been delivered to any of his return addresses would have resulted in him receiving the package. None of his return addresses had anything to do with where it ended up at Warner Brothers unless I missed something? Ebay is clearly in the wrong here not RMA! I don't know how Ebay decides that just simply having the item "delivered" back within a certain zip code or state is sufficient resolution without further investigation? Btw if RMA doesn't receive this back/gets back an empty box becoming evident this was a scam it may be a good idea to identify the buyer.
  15. Did you get the book back? If you got it back and decided to reslab the book then it may have been financial loss considering what you paid to ship it combined with what you'd pay for the reslabbed vs the 50 dollar refund. I'm almost positive assuming RMA ever sees this book again USPS won't consider it a total loss and only provide a partial insurance payout.
  16. It looks like Ace Ventura delivered your package drop kick style bro
  17. Contact both Warner Brothers and USPS to try and locate the package. He has a tracking number and a name that was signed for at Warner Brothers.
  18. Yeah RMA shouldn't be out 450 dollars because some fool was too incompetent to do their job be it the buyer sending it to Looney Toons or the mail carrier misdelivering it there. Theres nothing in either of his return addresses indicating Warner Brothers! Ebay blowing him off not even considering his side is beneath contempt 🤬😡! They suck!
  19. Ok but I meant how they would handle that kind of situation of obstructive writing in general?
  20. Well Warner Brothers likely receives a ton of packages that have to be signed for every day. After getting off the phone with USPS maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to try and get em on the horn
  21. In this case with their being a different return address on the original box than on the return label I would have contacted the seller first then Ebay just to do everything possible to get everyone on same page before sending the package back. If after doing so Ebay still tells him to return to a certain address that's a different matter. In this case it looks like the buyer didn't do everything possible to try and clarify some conflicting return address information before acting. I know he's not required to but its just common courtesy you know
