  1. w That low grade G+ got £2,600.... and this beauty above raised only £2,300. Mad game. Gutted I didn't see it.
  2. I'm trying to find something nice. Will post worldwide out of England. Those saying US postage only... USuck
  3. How about this Carp? Caught using the most magical of lures, an AF15 (inside fish so pressing recommended). Postage via the Manchester ship canal
  4. I sold them yesterday for £2,800 and £100 for delivery. East Manchester to South West London is no joke, let me tell you! 8 hours non stop, well one stop Time will tell whether I regret it or not, but I did go through them and pick out all the best and nicest grades so that lessens the blow. Feels nice to be the owner of a high grade ASM collection even if it is only 10% of what it once was. It was the same deal I thought I had over the line last week, less issue #300 and less £300. I'm happy with it. I think I'll try and do this again. With all my runs. Pick out the best and sell the rest. Just no point holding low grade or common books. This thread has been enlightening, hilarious, hostile, educational and everything else besides. Now lets all have a group hug, and the beers are on me!
  5. Sign me up please. I'll play. I finished 10th in Blow up the Moon's comp so that's my target to beat. Though I can't help but think it was by sheer fluke! We'll see
  6. Some early X-Men comics I am selling on eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/barkeuk_sdwax/m.html?item=202765126583&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Rolling the dice on this small lot. 99p starts. Actual postage to USA irregardless of what eBay tells you. All due to end a minute apart tomorrow starting - 21.10 - GMT Good luck with bids!
  7. Blimey! I've just had a look at the original and can hardly split them. You got mad skills! Fantastic work.
  8. That book was a plain white blank? And the art is all your own work? Looks amazing!
  9. Yea just don't shop at Walmart will you? Or go to school.
  10. Anyway, my buyer got cold feet, can't say I'm surprised. But whatever, I'm still sure I'll sell them. Put your knives away will you? If my price is optimistic so be it, I want to get paid for them, I'm not interested in giving them away for a pittance to a dealer. Seems some of you can't get over that.
  11. Well I think you're wrong. Key does not mean Valuable. According to key collector there are quite a number of 'keys' here. Certainly if Madame Web is a key then there are many more that are too. Not sure why the grade matters? Is a 0.5 AF#15 suddenly not a key? Just because its a dishrag? And is #299 not a key because it's a cameo appearance? What about Hulk #180? I will agree some of these are an almighty stretch! #21 G 2.0 2nd appearance of the Beetle #25 VG 4.0 1st appearance of Spencer Smythe and the Spider-Slayers. 1st cameo appearance of Mary Jane Watson #28 VG 4.0 1st appearance and origin of Molten Man #29 VG 4.0 2nd appearance of Scorpion #30 VG+ 4.5 1st appearance of the Cat Burglar #44 VG/F 5.0 2nd appearance of the Lizard #51 VG/F 5.0 1st appearance of Robbie Robertson. 1st cover appearance and 2nd full appearance of Kingpin #59 VF+ 8.5 1st cover appearance of Mary Jane Watson. 1st kiss between Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker. 1st appearance of Brainwasher, alter ego of Kingpin #61 F- 5.5 1st cover appearance of Gwen Stacy #70 VG+ 4.5 1st cameo appearance of Vanessa Fisk (Kingpin's wife) #78 VG+ 4.5 1st appearance of the Prowler #81 F+ 6.5 1st appearance of Kangaroo #96 VF- 7.5 Drug addiction plot. 12. There are. If you're calling me a clown don't beat around the bush. Say it. That's fighting talk round my way.
  13. That's not really true at all is it. 300 is the money book but there are other keys for sure.
  14. I think I will. The kat has kept the cream! And I've cashed the rest I reckon. Happy days
  15. No not at all. I knew I was close to the mark just didn't know exactly how close... Or far. You lot have confirmed it. I have basically agreed a deal with a chap in Kent and will be hopefully dropping them off on Sunday. £3,100 I am keeping #38, #56, #63, #64, #82, #84, #86, #92, #97, #120, #654 they are being added to the other small stack I already pulled which were never listed or shown in the scan gallery. So it's a result
  16. What you lot are telling me and what eBay is telling me are two different things entirely. I'll sell them for £3,500 I'm sure. The listing ended yesterday and I've had four messages over night from different people thinking they sold. Comic books in the UK are not as easily found as in the USA, indeed a lot of these books came from the land of apple pie, prom queens and AR-15's. So we'll see what happens. Don't think I'm not grateful for your advice, I am, and my price I think it's where it needs to be. Cheers
  17. So they're worth 1600... Or five quid each! Ok Ron whatever you say Ron I'm not giving them away, that's for sure, someone can buy them for £3,500 or they will sit on eBay forever. I had an offer earlier for £2,200 which I declined and an offer for £2,500 a couple weeks back which I passed on too. The two 'tyre kickers' in both cases, we had agreed on £3,500 a video game store owner in the south of France and an insufficiently_thoughtful_person just over the Pennines in Sheffield. No idea why they would agree to buy them and then not do. Not cricket in my book. Does seem sport for these insufficiently_thoughtful_persons though and some of the messages I've had from other folk have been quite amusing.
  18. What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? Yeah not my idea, but Evil Superman? It's a new film called Brightburn, I'm going to watch it later. Sounds interesting even if the review scores are mediocre.
  19. Great post. Real food for thought. Cheers man.
  20. I took the comicbookrealm valuation with a nice pinch of salt... and then discarded two thirds. Am I still way off?
  21. There answer is here - http://tos.trekcore.com/ But I'll be damned if I'm looking!
  22. Thanks for your thoughts. I'll let them sit there I reckon and if someone buys them then I'll let them go. I have already picked out some nice ones to hold so maybe I'll revise the listing again and go in again and pull out a few more. 20 watchers tell me people are interested at least. Marwood, one a piece is definitely the way to go, but I couldn't bear to see them dwindle away like that, I'll take a lump sum I can use or nothing at all. And you're right, I probably would miss them even if I did get a chunk of change, would feel a bit like this
