There are 2 spinoff series being proposed. TWD Deluxe is going to be published until 2028. So lots of TWD yet to come. -

Ugh 46 of first 50 in Custom TWD labels (all Sig Series). I guess I'll have to hold off on CGC until the new labels debut. I wish someone had done some better planning here so that there was not an inventory gap out. Any push you can give @bigclutch would be greatly appreciated. I have 5 more waiting to go in for reholders with custom TWD labels. -

I had a similar situation. Item sent Priority, should have been there in 2-3 days. After 6 business days, I sent USPS a request to locate the package. Turns out it was at the destinations local post office. After I sent the tracking request, the item arrived same day. I think USPS is so screwed up right now that nothing is moving as it should but waiting more than 6 days for a 2 day delivery was getting irritating. Suggest when ready to launch an inquiry.

This is a fun challenge, a TWD scavenger hunt! I thought about finding OA for this but I’m sure all these older pages were added digitally. Is this the one you are looking for? Perhaps @bigclutch could help? -

That makes a whole lot of sense to me. Keep the TWD w/ Variants, Add Deluxe and Weeklies Edited to say... eh... rethinking this and I'm not sure. Unless there is a precedent with other big multi-book series to pull everything together. -
I respect that but I am VERY glad I built our my Walking Dead #1-48 2xSS collection before eBay was hitting me up for an extra 8.5%.

I was looking for the Superman Blue .5 replaced cover and found this post. Do people really spend $139K on eBay now with the taxes? I am in an 8.5% local tax jurisdiction so this would be an $11,800 tax bill. I do understand that auctions usually have commissions. But has there been a shift since eBay started collecting taxes moving buyers away from high ticket items like this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPERMAN-1-2-3-4-5-CGC-6-0-THE-HOLY-GRAIL-OF-ALL-COMICS-PAST-PRESENT-1939/221258800008?hash=item33840d5b88:g:VL8AAOxyGstR8F-B

Superman #1 .5 universal? With color copy cover .
BladeTX replied to onlyweaknesskryptonite's topic in Comics General
Put that in your Registry set and crush everyone!!! The points table for Superman 1 9.0 Sig Series is 300,000 points 😂 -
If you know what Book it is from , get your dealer to offer money back if it is counterfeit. Crack it out and send it to CGC. Pretty simple.

Best Storage Container for Mylites w/ Full Back
BladeTX replied to BladeTX's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
Yeah I figured that. So I'll put something in there to keep them vertical and immobile. -
I have about 250-300 books all stored on my shelf in Mylites 2's and Full Back Board. This has been a great way for me to access books for reference but I am running out of space. I'm not sure that a regular comic box will hold Mylites as they are wider and taller than regular comic bag/boards. Is there a good solution for storing my books? Is there something nicer than the classic white cardboard long box? I want to move the 60 books on the upper right to storage (they are reprints with variant covers so I don't look at those much) and use this space for more titles. Thanks!!

And you thought Modern comics were overpriced...
BladeTX replied to BladeTX's topic in Comics General
I have the feeling from your comment that this will bring in all the speculators and drive up the prices for all of us collectors? -

Looks like he has big plans to “bring something big to the collectibles and alternative asset business in the coming months.” In theory that could include comics as well. Maybe he is creating a mutual fund of some sorts comprised of collectibles for investment? -
And you thought Modern comics were overpriced...
BladeTX replied to BladeTX's topic in Comics General
True but since this is an auction there was an under bidder willing to spend nearly as much. -

What is the highest price documented for any single Modern comic? Is it even in excess of $100K? or at $184,500, it would only be 10% of this card. -
Modern (post 1980) LeBron James sports card sells for over $1.8 million. Golden Age money for a modern card.. wow. https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/20/sport/lebron-james-basketball-trading-card-auction-record-nba-spt-intl/index.html

I disagree. If you are collecting the complete TWD with variants, this is clearly part of that set. If these were complete reprints like TWD weekly and only color added, then possibly. But Deluxe editions all have bonus materials - cutting room floor, Kirkman's handwritten notes, alternative plot lines considered. Otherwise you have to take out #1 Special edition and #1 10th Anniversary out of the Variants set by the same logic. I think if you want those 2 sets added that's fine but all these books are part of the full TWD superset. Now I am wondering with this run and everything else they do, I expect TWD with Variants to eventually exceed 1,000 books! -

Well Charlie blew his Never Say Never Again with Negan Lives. Obviously RK and CA see the value in keeping this going. I'm interested in the bonus materials and seeing how they do color. Wow, can you imagine Issue 33 Michonne's revenge in color? Stephen, you can use your local connections to get those 6 signed by Adlard for SS... cool!!!
