  1. yeah, it's those first two pages in that book that are a Beech, plus some of the 1950s comics, the Silver and Bronze are easy, do you have all the 60s and 70s books listed in the book ?
  2. colors looks great on that Supes #66 Matt. congrats.
  3. 3rd time around huh ? well looks like your off to a great start, I love the EC covers...I need to get some after I complete my other runs.. nice collection.

  7. yes, I have become a follower of Nearmints teachings and ways,,.. I just hope he doesn't make me drink the cool-aid. You will soon have a overwhelming, almost uncontrollable desire to acquire high grade Nedors. that's fine by me as long as I also aquire the need for his high grade Actions/Supermans
  8. yes, I have become a follower of Nearmints teachings and ways,,.. I just hope he doesn't make me drink the cool-aid.
  9. thanks Brian, I'm of the Nearmint philosophy that no matter the book, all defects should be factored into the overall grade.. no green labels..just blue and purple...... oh and yellow.
  10. so again, why do some books with a detached centerfold get a Blue label and others a Qualified label ??
  11. Yeah, tough talk there fella....if it weren't for me, you'd be bidding on this...
  12. Very nice collection so far. Hey Matt, didn't you have your own thread going where you updated your Action collection as it grew? Seems like all the Action war cover collectors on this board have an Action 59 ...... except me don't fret Brian, you know that when I upgrade my #59, that it's yours. I'm just keeping it safe for ya.
  13. Action1kid, in my next life, I want to come back as you. just an incredible book !!!
  14. Argo23, those are some very cool covers, I love the detail in all of them..especially the last one on the bottom.. Matt, like Lex Luthor said... "It's fantastiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic, genius,, the structure goes beyond any known architectural theory,.. " really awesome, I feel sorry for the next generation of collectors who want any Action war covers.. by the time they get around to collecting, we will have sucked them all up.
  15. that's how we Comic collectors do it, great book Matt.. ya don't see too many #32's around.
  16. what a great iconic cover, nice copy Action1kid, very bright and clean looking, you should show us the back cover so that we can all see that great Superman pinup !
  17. Insert crying graemlin here.....that's the only reason I would read the early Action comics. For the Zatara stories. ARRRRGGGHH!! see what you'll be missing ?
  18. couldn't have said it better myself, I also agree with this way of thinking. if you do, I get to have my picture taken with it at the forum dinner, although I wouldn't dare flip through it,, I can certainly understand your concerns about security with a book like that, see you in Shytown.
  19. great group of books there Point Five, very nice "group shot"
  20. well, I didn't mean for it to sound like poor me, only that I had a loong way to go,, because on that first page in the Superman: from the 30's to the 70's book is Superman #'s 12, 14, 17, 18, 23, and 26, if memory serves... and life is good Jon, no nothing hasn't come of that Action #48 yet..but hey Chicago Con is coming up !
  21. thanks Matt, I'd actually like to get all the books on both of those pages, I've ony got the #14 from the first page though man I used to read that 30's to 70's book all the time when I was a kid, that's where I first read the origin story of Superman #53, great memories of that book, still have it today. (although it's a little tattered, but hey)
  22. nice statue scrooge, and nice books as well, I should maybe get the statue and display it in front of my Supes #24.
  23. very cool, and good luck on the grades you receive.
