  1. I had to laugh at DC and Overstreet being cited as the end all for what should and shouldn't be - in the end the market and collectors will decide what makes more sense and both will eventually follow.
  2. Like the show but Mooney kinda sucks. Really needs to be off-ed soon by Cobblepot.
  3. The original Wonder Girl was stories of Wonder Woman as a child.
  4. Only explanation is because people have copies of 54 and/or have some money invested in it. It's a great book and really does have a fun story like Silver said but it just isn't the first appearance of the Teen Titans.
  5. wut ? guess you have a lot into your copy ?
  6. No worries man. On the cgc 8.5, I'd be setting the over/under higher than $55-65. But I guess we'll see. This might be a nice copy to get into before the coming explosions truly materialize. How has that new TV show done in the ratings, anyone know? Cheers Joey Cream will hurt it a little. The Pedigree will bump it. You don't see 8.5s around too often and prices for keys have been a little nuts since June. I know of only one other one in 8.5 and now this one. I would be surprised if it broke 70k if you get two bidders that "have to have it". I think we'll see it in the mid 60's at least, but I'm still betting on low 70s. The PQ thing really needs to be addressed at CGC I just got a book that was OW back CR/OW - so who really believes what the label says - and is it really gonna hurt a gorgeous book like this? I think that us DCers have come to accept the CR/OW as something that isn't that big a deal. At least not so critical that it'd hurt such a gorgeous book. But I suppose if it had white pages, we'd all be gushing over that - including me, Mohawk's generally don't sell well because of the PQ and tanning issues that most of the books from the collection have.
  7. That was Schmell's sale - sold for an even 100K when the book was put up right afterwards in a clink auction. Do you remember if it was as nice as this one? This one is nicer for sure.

  9. Very nice copy Bob hope it ends well for you.
  10. Thanks. I did read that not long ago. I was waiting for Kevin Feige to make the announcement at SDCC as to who was going to portray the good doctor. Alas, he did not make that announcement. As of right now, the rumor mill is pointing to either Joaquin Phoenix or possibly Benedict Cumberbatch even though he is scheduled to perform the play "Hamlet" in London I believe. Kevin also pointed out that this movie is going to be as close to an origin as one can be. Time to change that sig line buddy.
  11. They have to just be reserving spots with those dates - who knows if B v S doesn't do that well we may only get 1 or 2 more before they scrap it all again.
  12. Good one, Teddie - I don't think he got it (whooosh!). Nope don't think he did. Someone needs to relax a little bit.
  13. 9.4 in the Heritage Auction. http://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/strange-tales-110-northland-pedigree-marvel-1963-cgc-nm-94-off-white-to-white-pages/a/7097-91404.s
  14. 26K + already for the Northland after a couple days of bidding - guess the book really is shooting up now.
  15. Ivy University ftw. Let's see them actually do something with Hawkman and then the comic universe really will be turned upside down.
  16. Feels like Bizarro world with this book being in such demand right now, couldn't give away one of the many 7.5s on the market around 3-4 years ago.
  17. I agree. This will be a cheap price a year from now. +2. And the book is significantly rarer than hulk 1 on the census at least. -J. If you mean the Incredible Hulk #1 from 1962 you'd be very incorrect. I am, and no I am not. 1048 IH 1's to 752 ST 110's. Double check your facts before you make blanket statements. Thank you. -J. If you really think ST 110 is harder to find in any grade then Hulk 1 then you have no idea how to use the census where in practically every grade above 5.0 there are more 110s graded. The only reason there are less 110s graded overall is because there wasn't the incentive for lower graded and restored copies like there is for a megakey like Hulk 1. Yes I got that thank you. However if you read the substantive portion of my original post you will see that that was implicitly acknowledged. However now that ST 110 is emerging as a key, time will tell how many more start finding their way to the census and how quickly. But as of now there are about 30% more graded hulk 1's than ST 110's on the census. This is a fact, whether there are seemingly more raw ST 110's out there at the moment or not. (thumbs u -J. Ok I understand your point - however I have a hard time calling one book "scarcer" then another based on those numbers. If you take a closer look the main difference between the 2 graded numbers right now all come from the amount of restored Hulks that are on the census - it's going to take a while for ST 110 to hit the kind of values for restored copies of that book to be worth submitting on those levels.
