  1. I emailed them, i'll let you know what they say
  2. My assumption (of course could be wrong) is that CGC made a mistake on the description. Either you or I should send an email to CGC to confirm the info found on the census.
  3. 1st print - 10,751 (keycollector site #'s) 1st print larrys convention - 1000 (keycollector site #'s) I've heard around those #'s elsewhere also. There's a few other reprint "variants" on #1 also: https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=454991
  4. COA's are not worthless for raw books but of course they are when sending in already signed books to CGC. If I really wanted a graded book already signed then i'd send it in to another grading copy along with a copy of the COA. Another option is to have another CGC witnessed signature applied and you could then get a yellow/green label graded book with the book at least having 1 verified signature.
  5. I'm sure that A) the underbidder(s) have deep pockets or B) the underbidder was someone he is affiliated with to gain attention for him and his company. Who knows. Either way, pricing for cards has gone through the roof this year. Certain modern basketball/baseball cards are selling for 10K+ regularly.
  6. This is what happens when people with very deep pockets get involved in auctions. Leore Avidar is the co founder of Lob and he values his company at a billion dollars so he's got money to throw around.
  7. I'm sure some people think so but again, I don't see 2nd tier characters holding value for a while. That includes Oliver, Battle Beast, Allen, etc. Maybe i'll be wrong but I don't see 1 season of an animated show bringing a huge uptick in value of these 1st apps. Maybe if there's some sustained life in the series further than a couple of seasons of an animated show. I'd absolutely snag these if you can under 10 bucks but I wouldn't run out at prices of 50-100+. Again, that's just my opinion. As much as we speculate, none of us REALLY know where the popularity and price of a book will land in the future.
  8. Invincible is a fantastic series that i'd recommend anyone reading. I don't see many "keys" coming out of this series though and values holding steady/rising for #1 and any rare variants. IMO #1 (1st print), #50 (2nd print) and #75 (1:50 variant) are the books to have. I don't see the other 1st app's maintaining value over the long haul. Allen is a cool character as is Battle Beast but I don't see value rising wild here especially with them not having cover 1st apps. Side note, I think people should only refer to #110 as a controversial issue as I had it spoiled reading the series in 2020. Sure, it's many years old but some people show up very late to reading a series and it's not really necessary to throw that spoiler out there.
  9. I'll echo the other sentiments and say that i'm really looking forward to this series after reading through the entire compendium earlier this year. Easily one of the best comic series i've ever read and I hope this animated show does it justice. The cast definitely looks promising.
  10. Step 1: Walk into a comic shop Step 2: Buy all of their inventory Step 3: Sell here Step 4: Become a comic millionaire /The end
  11. I use these for slabbed books on my wall but they work for raw books too: https://collectormount.com/ They are multipurpose too so you can use them on the wall or as a stand. I use a couple of these as a stand for raw books. Picture ledges in various sizes or multiple of them work well too: https://www.amazon.com/Ikea-Picture-Ledge-21-75-Black/dp/B00QUF9XLQ
  12. Send them all in! They might all come back as 10.0 Gem Mint's....after a clean/press of course!
  13. There are always exceptions to the rule. I'm talking more about the fans. Comics/Toys or any pop culture in person event is not worth getting sick over.
  14. The writing should have been on the wall months ago. Besides, who in their right mind would have attended knowing how crowded it gets with the possibility of an infection even if it is minor? Oh wait, nevermind, people are dumb.
  15. I agree. The books should show in the account section as soon as we print the packing slip and then the status should change depending on what stage it is in.
  16. Probably Warrior Nun and Old Guard.
  17. Very cool, thanks for sharing! Always enjoy seeing shops i'll probably never go to and makes me want to get out to as many shops in my area as possible.
  18. I hear Craigslist is a great place to meet people
  19. Does this aggregate results from other sites besides eBay?
  20. I know its a common trait for comic sellers but I really can't stand the "make an offer". As a seller, you should put an asking price to give an idea of a ballpark and you can always place OBO or "open to negotiations" if you are flexible. I don't walk into a store and ask the Target employee for a price and they say "make me an offer"....car dealerships don't hide the price and then say "make me an offer". I have to be really interested in a book to give a price but more times then not, i'll just walk away from the deal if i'm presented with "make me an offer" without knowing what the starting negotiation price is. Usually I find that "make me an offer" translates to "I am marking the book up 25% over FMV". State your price as a seller and then go from there.
  21. It really depends. It can be the same week, the next week or 2 weeks from now. Anyone sending books into CGC has to be patient even when its hard to know our comics seem to be in limbo.
  22. If you are asking if you should buy a 2600 book then the answer is absolutely not. Do enough research to make your own informed decision and at the end of the day, be happy with the book that you buy.
