  1. Now you need to send everyone SDCC exclusives for free to really up your status! You would be GOD LIKE!!!
  2. I forgot to bid and my computer was in the shop for a couple of days Congrats to those that got em, seem like really cool items for the CPG collectors!
  3. One of the things I have been working on along with CGC is getting the word out to more creators, by offering them books to get SSd or just regular blue label. At Philly we were able to start Mike McKone with a few of his own SS books. I went and purchased some 9.8 copies, had him sign and delivered them to him at the show. Brian Pulido was another case. He signed so many books for us, I asked him if it was okay to get some of his Philly variants signed for himself. He was delighted and gave some away to the booth staff. Herb Trimpe must have signed one of the largest stacks at the show. Chainnball (who is friends with the Trimpes) took some of their sketchbooks and we were able to also get those SSd. All of this onsite, which was very cool to see how thankful and happy each creator was. The 3 people I mentioned above are some of the nicest people in the business and any chance we as a community have to assist any creator to offer different products is only a plus for them. Good will usually equals good will and at the end of the day it was really cool to give something to these creators that have given their fans a lot! Speaking of McKone, hoping to sit down for a drink at SDCC and talk about doing a sketch opportunity for the boards. Nothing has been approved by CGC at this point, but if you have ever been able to see a McKone sketch...they are some of the best out there! Fingers crossed everyone!
  4. I think the point of most creators is to get more exposure, if this is the case, DH could be a great spot for the indy minded creator. That said, has anyone thought that maybe CPG will continue with Olympian and the TPB could be produced through DH to get more mainstream attention. Or a possible co-op. I also did get an email from the publisher of Olympian interested in some Mahnke original art! Very nice to work with!
  5. Don't frame the comic with the art, leave the art alone, looks better by itself!
  6. 400 copies, more than likely true, I believe he got the information from Rob himself. Gary, got the sketch in the mail! Expert packing my friend! Thank you! JJ
  7. The 'son' of 'David' perhaps... hmmm Where is Hasselhoff been lately, no more America's Got Talent... hmmm Maybe it should be Hoffson, instead of Davidson...
  8. I saw there are 400 copies of the SDCC variant for #12 being offered at the show, as well as 40 copies of the HC, 2 weeks ahead of time. This show just got better! Glad I didnt decide to take any preorders on this, I think I would have regretted it
  9. It was a bit more than that, actually a lot more than that... But think about this, why are there no Walking Dead figures out there for sale? Why did they do busts of zombies and give them names? Why is there no Rick bust? There is a lot of money going to the person who designed those characters beyond the publishing of comic books, so that might give you a little hint as to why we don't see Walking Dead Merchandise to often (save for a Statue!)
  10. Forrest, you will love it. The thing about 'zombies' is they are not Jason or Freddy. They are just there. Lurking and it is inevitable they will get you when you least expect or overwhelm you. Part of the beauty of WD is that there is not a zombie on every page, in fact quite a opposite. The real enemies in the book are humans, that is the scary part... Take a read and enjoy, I think you will be hooked!
  11. They might be, SRP is $3.99. Up to the dealers to set the pricing on their books at the show. There are a few dealers on ebay selling for $7 plus shipping or close to that price. That would be a good place to look also. There might be dealers who will grab nice copies if someone asked them. I have had it happen, might be worth a try to anyone interested.
  12. I thought I was helping you, so this is news to me? Oh well, live and learn.
  13. I do know the real reason why Tony is not on the book anymore. Tony and Kara explained it me as we were doing the SS books from Tony's collection. Not something that needs to be told as it really should be between Robert and Tony at this point. But I will say Tony was forced with a decision and made it. And he doesn't regret it either. Doug Mahnke () on Walking Dead, ZOMBIES!!!!
  14. bingo, I dont think anyone is thinking the Governor is coming back (be mighty tough ).
  15. or you could all just figure out that this cover was originally the cover to the #1 Special Edition where Rick had his hand, and was recreated to be used for the #75 variant... I'm just sayin that was all it was... sorry to be the party pooper... love, JJ
  16. Walking Dead #75 issues: Regular Cover: Rick being held back Variant Cover: available at comic shops, rarity 1:25, 1 per store? : Adlard #1 homage SDCC Variant Cover: Rick walking down the road, newspaper stating end of the world
  17. SDCC variant, I would assume it will be for sale at SDCC, only makes sense... Unless of course... 75 is not out by then, that would be the only reason I could see it not available. Post where you got your information please? Might be helpful! edit: Unless you are talking about the Adlard #1 Homage, which is not a SDCC variant and is a retailer variant available to your local LCS... my head hurts...
  18. so a SDCC Chew cover, very nice! Should be plenty of 9.8 candidates available soon...
  19. you will be there soon Jerel, son of Jer-El...
  20. Gary PMs me daily now, his ascension to the Dark Side is almost complete
