  1. Hey, you know this ain't the New X-Men reading room!I I'll post scans of my Cave Carson and Suicide Squad books next week and give you that many more reasons to like me.
  2. Monkeyshines? Let's see, no Nazis, no Japs, no guns, no crime, no beheadings, no injury to the eye motifs, no zombies, no spandex clad star spangled heroes. Yup, you're right. No self respecting X-Men fan would think that one is cool. (thumbs u
  3. Okay. I'll try again. These three from my collection must be junk, right?
  4. Here are scans of some of the House of Secrets books in my collection:
  5. Here are scans of my entire collection of Captain Hunter books:
  6. I love both Suicide Squad and Cave Carson! Here's a scan of my oldest Brave & the Bold:
  7. That one has great eye appeal for a 7.0. I would not have sold it.
  8. Keep in mind though that they just couldn't be found in "decent" grades. What dealers called NM in those days would be only Fine by today's standards - and DCs in even that condition weren't commonly displayed at shows, and certainly weren't in the bins at your friendly neighbourhood comic shop. Today's high prices have brought the supply out of the woodwork.
  9. Mmmmmm. That's a nice one! (thumbs u
  10. That's a great looking copy. Not that I have any sympathy though for Metropolis trying to flip it at such a premium.
  11. Brave & the Bold 23 has a very similar full page ad for Flash 106. I've put a scan of the ad on the front of a T-shirt and a scan of my copy of Flash 106 on the back.
  12. Send me your #122 and #133 then. I'll crack them immediately. I promise.
  13. I tried my darndest to win it when you sold it on Heritage. Thank god I lost, because I would`ve taken a bath of epic proportions on it! Only if you turned around and immediately tried to sell it.
  14. Well, you can always resort to actually reading them then! Plus you might want to collect every book you see advertised in the pages of the Flash. That would be a lot of JLA's, Green Lanterns, Mysteries in Space, Atoms, Hawkmans, Sea Devils, Rip Hunters, Showcases, Brave & the Bolds, Superman Giants and Batman Giants. It might actually be even more interesting to track down every book advertising issues of the Flash! Great ads!
  15. Those are magnificent! I didn't know books like that were so common in Western Pennsylvania. I'll be heading for the train station right after work.
  16. Wow! Do you look for a certain minimum grade or are you just glad to find any? What was the thread that prompted you to post the pic?
  17. Ahhhhh, but is it because you collect Four Colors or do you genuinely love Francis the Mule and Li'l Bad Wolf? You answer me that!
  18. Man, that must have made you really want to open up your own comic shop!
  19. How about this one then? I don't know of anyone else interested in collecting all of the Li'l Bad Wolf books.
  20. One would normally think a golden age action comics would have no place on the short bus, your submission proves one would be wrong It's books like that one that made me stop being a run collector That's funny. Books like that make me want to pick up more Golden Age.
  21. This is such a fabulous thread! Well screw what anybody else thinks. They're very welcome in my collection. (thumbs u
  22. Well I'm not parting with it even if I'm relegated to the back of the bus by the collectors who know all the hottest keys.
  23. Here's a scan from my collection of one I'd like to nominate:
  24. Talk about underestimating. I just counted my DC Archive books. I have 47 right now, which means I already had 45 when I made the above post that I had more than twenty!
