  1. OK, here is an interesting book. As you can see there are three cover's but only the 3rd cover is actually attached to the book. When I bought this I said to myself, cool three covers never thinking about checking the other books.. How would CGC grade this book? I have no idea. Would have been a nice one to have in the grading contest don't you think? Anyway just thought I'd share this with you.
  2. have to agree with almost all you said on this but the grade 2.5/3.0 for me
  3. 8.0 is the highest I can go. C&P to 9.0 possible
  4. How many people handle a book before it gets to the person that finalizes it? The more it gets handled, the more chances of mishaps. just saying. grader notes should be more comprehensive, but you know the old saying "time is money" 5 of the books I had graded came back between 6.0 and 8.0 all had the same notes. "light bends to cover" "light creasing to cover" which could have been fixed by a C&P(I did not have that done). and "light spine stress lines to cover" so if all had the same"light" defects why then did they have such a range of grades? I'm just dazed and confused
  5. I'll have to agree with marvelmaniac, need more pictures. 7.5
  6. Really did not look closely to see if the pin up is original to that book. So I pulled the book and the staple area's of the pin up line up perfectly with the book staples. Also the color of the paper is consistent with the rest of the book. IMO. I do believe that this is the original pin up. I bought these books on ebay about 15 years ago. Got a great deal (steal) on the comic book "lot". So maybe I will just send them down and get the cleaned, pressed and graded. The standard tier is what I'll go with. Thanks for your , Februus
  7. Please help me determine what grade it is now and what you think it might get after a C&P. Pin Up is detached. I would like to get this cleaned & pressed along with copy 1 before the Baltimore Comic Con in late October and have CGC grade them there. Any ideas on how long CCS will take to do the C&P? BCC is only 6 months away. Suggestions are welcome. Thank You
  8. MrRoboto, yes the reader crease is what you were talking about. my bad. I was looking at the line going across the page at Poison Ivy's knees. Anyway thanks for everyone's input. The other copy I have is in slightly better condition but with a detached centerfold and I'll post the pictures shortly for your input on that one as well Thanks Again
  9. Just an awesome book to have in that condition 8.5/9.0
  10. I see a faint line starting at the top edge running down thru the "AM" down to the top of Spidey's head and continuing down thru his thigh. Not sure if it breaks color or not. Does anybody else see it ?
