  1. I’ve had CC do it. I imagine they all will if you ask. They will deduct the cost from your bottom line sale
  2. No. My guess would be a case got cracked while in their possession, but it’s a “who knows”. Have you tried calling customer service?
  3. That surprises me. I thought it was the sellers demanding the premium so they pocketed more. Why would they stop because of that? I still sold my Bat 1 thru CC; I just didn’t ask for a Buyers Premium
  4. Happened to me on a book. I had no idea until other boardies pointed it out
  5. That last chart is perfecto @MasterChief since “horror” and “adventure” appear to be the only genres whose value went up the second time around, I too am curious what titles comprise “adventure”
  6. Agreed. a quick search of Heritage archives tells the story. Probably shoulda gone for $30k minimum
  7. The Bat 1s went low. I thought the Cap 1 would go for more. The Action 1 went higher than I would have thought(have you SEEN it?) The Punch book went for over $200k. Matt Baker prices are approaching crazy town. I'm not sure what to think about this auction
  8. Terry-toons 38, oh man. except for a couple LB Cole classic covers and the 1st horror comic, it’s all pretty grim. Looks like the rocket scientists who bought in the first wave ( ) either have a 26% haircut to look forward to, or a new coffin liner
  9. I’m reading this book right now. I’ve read 200 pages and we are still in the beer halls
  10. They were both good prices, IMO, but especially the 6.0. I thought the 6.0 presented better than Bobby Blue’s 7.5. Considering Heritage sold a 5.5 for $24k in 2019, and then resold the exact same 5.5 in 4/22 for the exact same price of $24k, I’m left to wonder if prices on midgrade 1s have stopped rising on this book, at least for now(in answer to the actual title of this thread). On the other hand, Mask 2 seems to be still on the move
  11. I’m not a Sub-Mariner guy, but I really considered 14. That depicts D Day on the cover, and I can’t believe it gets no special recognition on the label or in the value. This should be a breakout book
  12. That’s funny. I got a 5.5 too. Such an odd grade
  13. I don’t think these books were stored under optimal conditions. If I had to bet, based on PQ, I’d say an attic
  14. It’s actually not such a bad price for the buyer(I think the $54k price tag includes the 15% commission). What with the recent guide increases, it’s only 2.8 or 2.9 times guide. Compare that to Bakers, that routinely go for 20 - 30 times guide. Still, I don’t think the marketplace is done testing Mask 1. As someone above observed, Mask 1s seem to all of a sudden be showing up on the market, probably in part due to aforesaid recent OPG price increases. We will see how well the market can absorb them all
  15. The current CC auction reveals that golden age Timelys have regained their momentum
  16. Well a bit more intel coming in with CC’s ongoing auction. The Cap 2 owner may recoup his money from the original Promise auction lollapalooza
  17. @comicnoir and @Point Five, you both hit it out of the park. You’ve finally articulated my thoughts each time I look at this cover(which is a lot more often than my so-called “big books”).
