    Marvel Age has collector value? I still have nightmares of having to leaf past countless marvel ages while rummaging in quarter boxes as kids. They arent even comics!

    Imagine paying that much for a book as common as this, with distracting scribbling all over the cover. Never been a huge fan of autographs, specially now when it's a pay to play transaction, but if you want stan the man to sign a book he never worked on why not do it on the first page rather than the cover?

    That's actually kind of stunning that they don't disclose rusted staples on the label. Grading is subjective and all, but who here would want a "9.0" book with rust? Wowzers...

    I feel I owe a penance Popped this beauty out of it's mailing trappings and tossed it on a table before running out the door for work. Apparently where it landed was some London Fog I spilled earlier in the day and didn't wipe up well enough

    It's surprising how just 1 or 2 collectors can affect the prices of books. There was a recent auction of some prewar books, where the last 40% or so of a books bids were between 2 bidders. If one of the 2 just sat it out, I'd have some nice king comics for half of what they ended up going for

    Never once happened to me as a kid collecting comics. I could tell within a split second if it was a book I had, had seen before, or was new to me. Nowadays, yah, it's happened a few times.
