That book looks pretty toasty and flaky and not very supple to me. I wouldn’t be surprised it the cover would split completely if opened it too far. Plus, it has a sub crease? That’s pretty much an automatic 4.0-5.0. IIRC, Overstreet won’t go above a 4.0 on a sub crease; in general CGC won’t go past 5.0, though I may have seen a few exceptions on the boards. I can't imagine that going lower than a 7.0. And I expect the spine tics look more pronounced in the scan than in hand.

Pulled this one out to read last weekend but didn't get to it. I always enjoyed this one as a kid.

Picked this up at the LCS last week. It’s a beater, but Black Knight isn’t a series I crave in grade. This is my first issue of the title and I knew nothing about BK’s backstory. I was quite surprised to find out he’s the alter ego of a perfumed, handkerchief-toting pansy in King Arthur’s court.

He pops in every now and then. Yeah, I could have sworn he dropped by the FF thread in Silver recently.

If you're happy with the book, that's all that matters. I have an FF#5 with amateur CT. I got it for a good price years ago and it presents very nicely. Given current prices, the CT doesn't bother me as much as it used to.

It also looks like the cover has been hit with an eraser. For that kind of money you can get yourself a slabbed blue label 3.5 that presents better.

I don’t really have year-by-year collecting goals. I mostly prefer to acquire books as they cross my path. However, it would be nice to finish off a few more runs. Not sure how that will work out; had a restricted budget last year and I’m hoping to get a new set of wheels this year so that will probably take precedence.

I dropped some tracking bids but I doubt if i'm going to go to the mat for anything. What do you guys think the Ploog GSMT #1 will go for? I've always thought of that cover as one of his most iconic.

I picked this up years ago. It has a little amateur CT. I had planned to upgrade at some point, but prices have climbed so much that i don't know if laying our for a comparable untouched copy is in the cards.
