  1. Darwin got a great box of new books to look through. I had indies and magazines I did pick myself and get back in the race. That collection Cloud 9 unveiled had tons of super high grade picture frame books that 5-6 collectors and dealers each pulled a few copies.
  2. And I'll add these to get the ball rolling.
  3. Very sketchy. From the feedback, it looks like the seller reneged on the auction, didn't ship the book and refunded the buyer's payment. The buyer left a nasty negative and the seller has now relisted the book as a BIN. Seller comic-sutra now has a data point in GPA of his book selling for $861 where he is trying to now resell the same book for double. Interesting strategy. Interesting.
  4. I have these for sale or trade. Heavy metal #1 CGC 9.8 White Pages $300.00 Legion Of Monsters CGC 9.6 White Pages Signed by Neal (Neil) Adams $225.00
  5. Made it! $70,000.00 final hammer price.
  6. We discussed this book a few pages back but on the final hammer price. Hulk 197
  7. I need to visit this thread more often.
  8. It is definitely considered in the grade. The amount of tape also affects the overall grade. If it is keeping a staple in place or closing a tear it would be graded as if the tape was not present, and will be noted on the label.
  9. Why do you use cheesecake as a background for your pictures?
  10. I may have a slabbed 9.6 or two laying around. PM me if you are interested.
  11. There is a guy up here who has long boxes full of this book, and has a VA license plate HULK 197. Book is getting hard to find.
  12. I have 4 of the 9.8's myself. There is one up for auction on CL. Hulk 197
  13. Only Wrightson cover in the run. Early Man-Thing appearance in a mainstream title. Daredevil 114 10/74 Collector appearance. Buscema/Staton interior art. That was a strong price for a raw book.
  14. Later this week I will be listing a lot of copper and modern books. A small sampling. New Mutants #98 in 9.6 New Mutants #87 in 9.4 (2 copies) Hulk #271 in 9.6 (3 copies) Batman Adventures #12 in 9.2 Y Last Man #1 in 9.6 Infinity Gauntlet #1 in 9.4 and many more.
  15. In the States there are classes you can take (they cost money) called Social Bridges. You should see if s similar program is available in Canada which provides the necessary social skills to interact with others, to hold a job and to be self sufficient.
  16. +1 Not worth the quicker turn around if the books aren't being graded equally imo I have seen this in multiple submissions that were sent in together or within days of one another. Almost identical sets of books where one is super tight and the other is graded more in line of what I thought the books would come back. Wonder if they are rotating graders.
  17. You were fortunate. Imho, this last year has been the tightest CGC has ever been on Moderns - I do a ton of SS books where I crack out 9.8s and I've never experienced this many grade drops upon resubmission. I like tight grading as much as the next guy, but I feel they've moved the needle way too far in the other direction now. +1
