Anyone getting economy books back from ??/??/???? ?

Too many wagons now hitched to CGC's horse. I know of at least 4 people that left their day jobs to sell comics full time in the last year. While it is wishful thinking, it wont happen. CGC most likely has what it needs at their disposal, its getting the most out of the resource on hand where they may be faltering.

Please stop confusing us with scientific reasons to prove why things bad happen to good comics.

Still no movement on my 8/12/2021 economy books. I don't think they have even gone through the resto check, as certain fields are still empty.

Why was I brought into this? I specifically say I do not provide a restoration check on books. If I had charged for the service, and failed to catch the missing page, I could see mentioning me

To add to your analogy, it would also be like being next in line and the cashier allows someone to get in front of you with hundreds of items. Very similar to the in-house signings. These appear to get priority over EVERYTHING else, regardless of how much you paid, the tier selected and when they were sent in.

What if you only have the order number? Apparently, I was not smart enough to write down the CGC invoice number.

Since some EC invoices have fallen off our dealer/CS pages...how will we know movement is happening?

Based on your comment, it is reasonable to conclude that many others would feel the same way. If that were to be true, many more EFT submissions would start to flow into CGC, resulting in longer TAT's for economy fast track.

Thank you, Mike, I was also going to make the same request. It appears they are task switching, which may bring with it other issues, especially if they got used to grading modern comics and are now grading much older books.

They may have to increase the rate of sampling.

When labels, notes and large pieces of paper are encapsulated with the book, and it goes out the door it lends me to believe that no one looked at the book for any QC process. How do you not catch this?

Are the older blank covers worth anything?

All depends on the value of a book. Anything above a certain price threshold I press. In some cases, a .5 bump is $$$ in your pocket or a better-looking book in the slab. You have to do your due diligence before to keep costs low and make sure they are good candidates.
