  1. Preserving his legacy by making a nuisance of yourself? You can't/won't get a straight answer from anyone as they don't want to possibly disparage his name. Topics like this have been covered in the past to no avail. Fortunately, I know what happened, but won't say either way. I've been around for over 40 years selling art, and have seen many, many things. Now maybe YOU can go back and stop thinking of ways to make yourself obnoxious. MI
  2. And I'll ask again. What difference does it make at this point in time? If you're going to think less of him, I could (but won't) supply a long list of other artists who took art that didn't belong to them. But it's a moot point, as most are dead. You might be horrified at some of the names. Keep the legacy of Gil alive. Not by denigrating his name, but by appreciating the body of work he created. Harping on what you might have heard, or heresy or rumors will just make you seem like an old Yenta. MI
  3. The rumors abound as to whether it was DC or Marvel, and the stories vary from person to person. Gil is dead, and what's the purpose of discussing this topic? MI
  4. Not even close. It's probably one of the many unsung movie poster, or storyboards artists working for that particular studio. MI
  5. But if Gil did take art that didn't belong to him, it's not as if he was the only artist to do this. MI
  6. It turns out, some of the pages from Ronin #1 are stolen. Possibly from DC or a First Friday get together back in the day. First Friday was a get together of professionals socializing. Which pages exactly, is not quite clear. No police report was filed. It is suspected that the page in the current Heritage auction might be one of the stolen pages. But since there is no concrete list, nor a police report of stolen items, the art is fair game to sell. MI
  7. Some nice sketches. I know some of the prices were a bit high considering the quality of finish on some of them. MI
  8. Actually, There are more missing pages from #1 and several other issues. But confidentiality prevents me from divulging which pages. MI
  9. I will have Lynn Varley's painted art for the Ronin books early next year. MI/Graphic Collectibles.
  10. I originally sold that Adams GL #76 for Neal back in 1976 MI
  11. Ah, common courtesy. Gone with the dinosaurs. MI
  12. Not even talking about what we collect. There had to be more interesting artists than what they chose. How about Sienkiewicz? Camilla D'Errico?

  17. I did, but I don't know if I would go back unless I was able to display in the big room.
  18. Probably were no more than 100 or so people at this show. MI (who did set up, but apparently does not photograph well)
