  1. Hey All, Just a reminder that I will be setting up at the NJ Comic Art Con this Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Holiday Inn, 283 Route 17 South, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ This will be my only show till 2018 San Diego Comic-Con. If you have interest in a specific piece of art from my website, let me know before Friday afternoon, so I'm sure to bring it. Look forward to seeing you there! Best, Mitch Itkowitz Graphic Collectibles
  2. No, the owner had it for several years. Gave it to me for SD and then decided to give it to ComicLink during the show.
  3. Crapshoot for the owner as he paid quite a bit more. I had for sale at San Diego for a couple days, and then the owner gave it to ComicLink.
  4. It has a long way to go before it hits reserve.
  5. Yeah, no. WW covers don't turn up very often.
  6. Damn nice cover. Art is by Irv Novick from a layout by Infantino. I sold the cover for WW #174 last year. PM me and I'll give you more info Best, Mitch Itkowitz Graphic Collectibles
  7. And I'll be making my first appearance at the show! If there is anything you specifically want me to bring, let me know as soon aspossible. Mitch Itkowitz Graphic Collectibles
  8. Good Afternoon All, Hope everyone is having a good Summer. Coming off of our most successful San Diego Con ever, I present to you an extremely large Comic Art update to the web site. Yes, I know Heritage has its Comic Art auction today and tomorrow, but this update is too good to hold back any longer! You will now be able to add art to your cart from the "What's New" page. I would like to introduce at this time, Tony Sandoval. Tony Sandoval was born in 1973 in the desert of Northwest Mexico. His first works were Nocturno (90's) and Blacky (2001). Both were self-published with his brother. From 2001 to 2005 he created illustrations in Mexico. In 2005 he started to work on bandes dessinées (literally drawn strips, Franco-Belgian comics) for Paquet Editions in Switzerland. He's currently working on a comic called Waternaskes. Some of his books are, "1000 Tempetes", "Le Cadavre et le Sofa", and "Doomboy". Check out the incredible drawings in his gallery. We will have published pages in the near future. 16. Just a bump to let everyone know that my deadline for receiving art for San Diego Con, is July 7th. After that date, any art consigned will have to be shipped to my Hotel, on my Fed Ex account. You can also drop art off at my booth any time during the Con. So far, I have received quite a bit of extremely nice originals. See above for the type of art I'm looking for. Email me at mitkowitz@hvc.rr.com or call at 845-246-0952 Thanks! Best, Mitch Itkowitz Graphic Collectibles
  17. Scott, You would make easy money. No Miller inks on this page.
  18. Yes, Frank did actually put pencil to board for all the covers. MI
  19. No Miller pencils on this whole book. Klaus enlarged Frank's 8 x 11 layouts, so there had to be pencil on the board. Just not Frank's in this case. I know this as I was Klaus's agent and remember seeing a lot of Miller's layout on typing paper for Klaus. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble. MI
  20. Consign your art to me for San Diego Con. With the San Diego Comic Con almost upon us, I am looking for your quality art to take to San Diego! I want to thank everyone who consigned art to me last year. I always do well at San Diego, but last year was the absolute best year for sales. it was all due to the many who consigned art! Thank you all! I have been exhibiting at San Diego Con for 40 years, longer than any other Comic Art or Illustration dealer. And July will mark our 41st year in business! Our booths are usually swamped with buyers even before the show officially opens! Here is what I'm specifically looking for... Comic Book Art from the 1940s - 1990s Newspaper Strip Art from the 1920s - 1960s Magazine Illustration Art from 1900 - 1975 Movie Poster Paintings from 1950s - 1980s Paperback Cover Art from 1940s - 1970 Children's Book Art from the 1920s - 1970s My commission rate is competitive with other dealers and auction houses. I'll get you the best possible price for your art. We will discuss the final prices before any art is sold. All art is fully insured from the time it leaves your hands right through the convention and back to my office. I have a Consignment Agreement which I have all consignors sign before any art is given to me. Ask me for a copy. Almost immediate payment right after San Diego. No need to wait 30 or 45 days! Please contact me at mitkowitz@hvc.rr.com or call me at 845-246-0952, or my cell at 845-399-7312 and lets talk! Thanks, and look forward to hearing from you. Best, Mitch Itkowitz Graphic Collectibles
  21. Yup, with art. Look at the prices achieved for the Ethan Roberts collection earlier this year. If not for the Pedigree and the quality, I doubt prices would have been as high as they were. And let's not forget the Charles Martignette collection at Heritage.
  22. Anytime you put a name to a specific collection, ie Jon Berk or Ethan Roberts collection at Heritage, you're always going to have higher prices with a pedigreed collection. MI
  23. I indeed sold the DKR 1 cover several years ago. MI
  24. Thanks for everyone's help
