  1. I'd say 7.5 post C/P. Outside shot at an 8.0 for a fawning grader
  2. Interested in the notes here too if there's something more than the detachment.
  3. Notes? I can't read the registry number. Curious what we missed.
  4. 6.0/6.5. Tanning and other discoloration are being penalized a lot these days.
  5. 8.5, I see some apparent scuffing around the spine close to the corners. Also, the TRFC has a small crease. At a glance, it looks NM, but I think the close inspection during CGC grading would knock it below that.
  6. First post, so welcome to the madness. I'll take your word on the fade. It's still hard to quantify in photos esp with some glare & shadows. It seems quite light. The official range for light fade is 8.0-9.4. A slightly worse fade is 5.5-7.5. I would say no worse than the latter range for fade. Given the other color-breaking defects, particularly around the edges & corners, I don't think the fade is what sets the grade. I would say 6.0±0.5. I can see the 6.5 just b/c of the nature of these types of square bound books being graded just a hair more leniently than other bindings. If it was a regular comic, I'd have guessed 5.5/6.0.
  7. 5.0 here too. I always feel better when I scroll passed GB's grade & it matches what I'm planning to post. I do think it's a tough call b/c of the nature of the indentions. Although I usually an pro-pressing, I think there's 0% chance these grooves press out, so the grade is more or less locked in, and the only thing a press might do is further damage the staple attachments
  8. Also some significant foxing on the FC and other signs of discoloration elsewhere, both of which CGC hates. 3.0/3.5. Leaning toward the lower grade pending any kind of cleaning that might improve the appearance.
  9. I've got a 9.4 that has foxing in the Grader Notes, but depending on severity, they don't like it.
  10. 7.5/8.0. The higher option just b/c the dark background makes all the dings look their absolute worse.
  11. 4.5/5.0 is a good as-is guess. It's really hard to guess how pressing will impact those creases. They don't look color breaking, but they're quite deep. I have doubts they'd completely disappear. If they did, I could see an 8.0, maybe 8.5 from a generous grader b/c it's square bound. A probable outcome after pressing is around 7, but try to post some after pressing photos if you can.
  12. 8.5/9.0 pressing won't help the obvious/most serious defects as they break color. My 9.0 assumes there's some minor improvement with pressing out some minor things to maximize appearance.
