  1. 9.4 train assuming that little bit of ink on the back doesn't get dinged for a stupid reason
  2. Some color loss along the spine. A corner crunch that might be improved by pressing. 9.2/9.4
  3. if you're talking about the line that starts at the staple & runs through the price box, it looks like the start of a reader crease, just one that doesn't go the full length of the book. Could be a 7.5/8.0 for a color breaking crease, could be higher due to a spider-man bump. I see some tanning, so that will definitely cause a drop. There's also some weird deviation from a strait edge on the outside bottom edge (under the Chameleon logo on the front). Not sure what's going on there.
  4. Probably a 5.0/5.5 since CGC loathes stains. Would be a classic buy the book, not the grade b/c the front cover presents so well.
  5. And it's back.... Only 8 higher Signatures & somewhere north of 70 Universal over 9.0. @Mars76 wins
  6. Looks like there could be structural issues along the spine. Hard to assess sturdiness in photos. 4ish give or take based on how well it's held together.
  7. Could be worth regrading, but it seems like there's some bias to retain a previously assigned grade & I wouldn't risk having them press it, and there's no way to remove it and resubmit. Not that it matters with that kind of signature book. Literally one of a kind, and no chance there will ever be another like it.
  8. Definitely looks like manufacturing. You'd want the Qualified label here b/c a Universal would be several grades lower (removed staple defect tops out at 6.0), but you don't get to choose anyway. Not all Qualified labels are the same. A clipped Marvel Value Stamp might be more severely viewed than a removed advertising coupon/page/insert. Some people might be OK/not OK with an unverified signature. It would be on a case-by-case basis and depend on the collector/buyer how much they discount or didn't discount the value.
  9. around 8.0. Some kind of patterned discoloration around the top of the inside back cover. Not sure what that is. Grayscale covers are hard to grade by photos. CGC does hate tanning and other discoloration defects, but it's also hard to say where they would come down on this. The same discoloration on a newer book could really get hammered.
  10. Actually, the cover is reprinted from the back cover of Marvelmania 3. More on this in 6-12 months.
